Key is "a disputed petition" - ie the Club don't agree that the debit is valid

One thing this episode has highlighted more than anything (Probably due to how lazy RL journos are) is that posters on forums/Twitter/FB really need to be careful what they write/post because it really can harm the Club. Let's face it, the Club are pretty good at self-harm as it is without added ammunition from our 'fans'.

I mean, after literally half an hour of the link being posted in this forum, it was picked up by FB users immediately, BBC GMR within twenty minutes, and Nationally on the main BBC website after about forty mins. Every time it was passed on it grew in seriousness.

Really not great for our Club. They should have released something quicker than they did and hopefully may have learnt something from all this...

...but don't forget what has been stated re: the Bulls pre season. At a fans forum they were told that financially they were good when clearly they were not.

I hope the experts we have brought in now are doing it for free,unlike the last experts who want paying.When a company is issued with a WUP that companies bank ,when it is made public,as been known to freeze their accounts.Lets hope that is`nt the case here.

From what i can see they were paid for the work they were asked to do, you know when you do a job you are asked to do and you put a price in, well they did more than the brief and the more bit which Salford didn't ask them to do that they want paying for. Maybe they thought that the work needed doing I don't know, but if you asked a bricklayer to build you a wall ten bricks high and he states that it will cost a £1000 he then builds it 15 bricks high and charges you £1500, do you pay the extra or do you dispute it?

Perfect logic to me and if true the club have every right to do so, the one slight worry is that the consultants are widely regarded as having a positive effect on the club maybe there is a case for a settlement to have been reached thus allowing them to continue as let's face there is much more work that needs to be done. That said if Peel are coming on board they will want their own bods doing this type of thing.

Without wishing to comment on this matter,as requested by the club,it may be that a sponsor of a player,Joel Moon I believe in 2012,will no longer be willing,or depending on the attitude of potential new investors not able,to sponsor a player for the 2013 campaign.

May be a good time to test the water with Forever Red members,and others,now they know JW is making every effort to leave the club in goood hands,to contribute towards sponsoring a player in the name of Forever Reds for 2013.

I cannot physically contribute for at least a fortnight - but will do;as I will with the tries home and away for 2013.

According to league paper. 15k to SG which has been paid. Unfortunately HMRC joined the petition with a debt of 150k do petition still to be heard on Monday next. Peel have backed out. Perhaps you will all stop dumbing it down now. 7 days to find an investor.

I didn't know you could "join" a petition - don't you have to issue your own? (correction - a bit of Googling and it appears that other creditors can join a petition - but if SG have been paid doesn't that cancel out the original petition?)

If that's so then they are doing it slowly - there's been a post about the tax bill on there for the last 5 hours.

Yes, I know ... another from "they who know" but the information came from an employee of a company very involved with Salford over the last couple of years.

I was going to say, they might be avoiding answering any questions about the tax bill, but nothing has been deleted. I've been looking at said page on a semi-regular basis since about half 9 this morning and everything is still there.

Don't know mate as I don't use Facebook only going of what I was told don't have Facebook account. He said he commented just saying another thing the club don't tell fans but he could not post it because it was negative. I don't use Facebook for safety issues

Will people be aware there are so called fans on here and the facebook site that,for whatever reason, are telling lies
I don't mean about the situation the club are in,I agree many things at the club have been wrong for a long time, but claims that this has happened and that has been said by someone and they don't do this and don't do that sort of thing.
The bottom line is if you support the club then get behind it until either there is a positive or negative outcome if you find you can't accept that situation then stop supporting the club.

PS wonder how many can guess which of our/are (that's a clue) more negative fans??? has been seen singing I'm Salford till I die in the not to distant past.

I'd say most of us are all behind the club and want this mess sorting out. However, to ask questions and want some answers from the club is not a reason to stop supporting Salford. Blind faith and support is a very, very bad thing.

not asking for blind faith that's why I said "i agree many of the things at the club have been wrong for a long time" and there is nothing wrong with wanting questions answered but people telling lies is different and every bit as dangerous as blind faith.
