I've always liked Malc and his commitment was never in doubt. However, after reading and listening to interviews regarding the lead-up to the release of his book, he is coming across as a bit of a d ick. It's all very well being honest but it attracts the wrong headlines for RL as the media love to highlight the smallest fault.

Can't blame him for making a little extra cash now that he's not playing, but it's all a little 'ok magazine' for my liking after all the media interviews.

I'll read the book and give it an honest appraisal. Hopefully my opinion might change.

Whether Malc was right, or very probably wrong, in many aspects of his behaviour whilst at the Club, and whether considered a 'Legend' or not, he is the ONLY player in recent times who has shown TOTAL dedication to Salford ON THE FIELD.

He was the backbone of our side during our most successful season in SL under KH, and his attitude and fire is what helped us gain more than a few wins against the odds. After hundreds of games for us and putting his body on the line for so many years, some of you would now begrudge not only buying a book, but even reading it. FFS what's the matter with you?

Like I said originally, I'll be there at 10:00 on the dot......................hopefully, I'll be there with a decent crowd.

Sorry but with what I've seen in the MEN he has lost all respect I had for his efforts while at the club. As has been said elsewhere hope is gets a ban for this and is never allowed to work in any RL related field again.

I'd urge everyone to not buy the book to prevent lining his pockets.

Just to clear up a few mistakes here. Human growth hormone (HGH) is NOT an anabolic steroid. In fact, the anabolic effects of HGH are debatable. However, it is banned by the world anti-doping agency. Played for Salford,gave his all for Salford,stuck by Salford when relegated when others went.Yes he was`nt my cup of tea either,but he stuck with us and done his bit to get us back into S.L. NO the man is`nt a legen d,but give me another four or five players with his will to win and his love of the club and that will do for me.Yes i`ll buy that lads book no problem.

Don't we support the Club? Players come and go, and no player is bigger than the Club?

Malc was good to us, especially when we needed him. But things move on, and sometimes they move on effortlessly and sometimes they don't.

I love the fact that some people who thinks the sun shines out of his hoop fail to appreciate him sticking the boot into the Club he 'Sweated blood for'. Now there's an oxymoron.

As for the Club...

...It's run badly, is out on its , has no money. Can't comment on JW as I have never witnessed him make business decisions. We have the worst kind of whining fans. It's a wonder we have a Club at all, so I'm just thankful for that.

As for Alker, I remain to be convinced he isn't just a money-grabber at the expense of the Club he played for. It's all very well slagging off the divvies who run things, but all he is doing is putting the boot into the fans, who at the end of the day, will come out of it worse.

None of this should be in the book tho....unless he WAS running the clubs finances as well as leading the team on the park how would he know?

Don't be jumping the gun Malc has stated nothing of the sort, look out for the chapter : Salford broke my heart , then come back and tell me he doesn't care for the supporters.

What seems to have been overlooked on various forums is the RFL 'State of Mind' issue.I now understand depression is used by a number of people as an excuse for certain behaviour but if there is genuine depression
it may be interesting to know if this was diagnosed before or after the drug use,in breach of the law of the land,or the HGH in breach of the anti-doping regulations,and what procedures are in place once the individual leaves the game - following on from the late Terry Newton.
Mr Alker doesn't seem to be winning many friends at a time when he may need them.
I trust he sought legal advice before it went to the publishers.

I don't know whether your comments are accuarate and certainly wish not to comment on their accuracy but my word, I really do hope for your sake that none of the above mentioned employees of the club see this post as my law-sudent girlfriend winced when she read this.
