Salford make too many mistakes by bringing in "friends" or looking after ex players. Sims has too much control - who would want to coach under him?
We have a Chairman with limited funds who is relying on people who constantly let him down. I think some of his choices about the people he surrounds himself with have been poor.

Alker should have left at the end of his playing career and his reputation would have been intact, as it is, there's no smoke without fire, and i suspect the situation is now untenable for both Alker and the club. It isn't his first offence - Floridagate was a warning.

I believe the club need to kill the rumours, two of the coaching staff who are both high profile go off ill, one has been away now for two months. This is not a private matter the club is in the public eye! it needs to make a statement one way or other & put this to bed before it gets out of hand. Salford director of rugby Steve Simms on Monday and it will be kept within our organisation. It is between us and we will sort that out during the week.

"We've had our problems during the season and it doesn't help but we are not looking for excuses. Everybody has problems and it just seems when you get beaten people raise issues and are looking for issues.

No problems, two coaches on "sick leave" unfit players and signing injured players, just wonder how bad we would be if we did have problems.

What are the reasons behind Salford's poor performances? We have skillful players, we are paying good wages but I was at the match yesterday, and year are a million miles from Castleford. They have more flair, more desire, better fitness and a professional attitude.
So no "issues", but what are the "reasons"?

I am all for keeping things in house, the Alker situation is difficult, but please Mr Sims, don't treat us fans like idiots.

Why should we be kept up to date? The best (if not the ONLY place) this can be fully sorted out is within the club. The matter is not a public trial or life as Jordan (or other media-savvy "person"icon_wink.gif would have it. When it is sorted, then we will be told of the result.

Mr Simms has made a statement. Most of us have to accept that.

If someone has been told the full story by a person at the club breaking the basic level of trust that any of us would expect between us and our employer, I also trust they will be dealt with through the club's disciplinary procedures.

What I'd love to know is who in the Salford camp has leaked this to Barker? and for what personal benefit? Two words spring to mind 'Shoot' and 'Foot'!



Whoever has leaked this is either thick between the ears or they haven't got the best interests of the club at heart. The mole needs smoking out, me thinks!

Its so soul destroying having all this negativity around the club. A season in which we should be wistfully remembering past glories at our famous old ground and hoping for new glory at our new place seems to have turned into the stuff of nightmares. On and off the field we are a pantomime of a club at present. All i know is that players, coaches, chairmen and staff all move on eventually...we as fans however dont (bar those who have finally got fed up) and we sit tight hoping for better days while knowing in our hearts those days may never come. 40 years of supporting Salford takes its toll (and i have no problem with fans who cannot do it anymore as i have had that feeling) and maybe we become so entrenched in our expectations of misery that we stop feeling it and it becomes the norm. However i continue to go, continue to suffer, continue to enjoy the tiny crumbs of success that fall off the big clubs tables onto our meager plates. Why ? because i support Salford..and hope to be there supporting Salford when (or if) the better times come into view. Right now its a farce and it may be that the people at the club in both playing and non-playing roles are not going to be the ones in place when our new dawn arrives..so be it. But i will be there because as i have stated previously i support Salford...
