From a Fartown perspective, being a low-supported team raising their profile year on year, let me offer some perspective;
What you find is the first step towards being a good team is beating the teams you know you're better than. I know it sounds simple, but it's actually very hard to do. We knew we were heading in the right direction when we were beating teams like Salford (bar last year!) and Castleford, Wakefield. We had a better squad and we played as such. Then we had to get the hoodoo's off our back;
Never beaten Bradford [x - 2007
Never got to the playoffs [x - 2007
Never won in the playoffs [x - 2010
You build up, you don't go straight to the top - the dream is alive and very well. Yes you might have to wait another 2-3 years to do it, but I look forward to your courageous Runner Up performance to Huddersfield's 2017 Super League Grand Final win (Our fourth in a row
)
