| We should just fake them like the rest of the clubs, sorry for upsetting people but i was P***** of at how other clubs say there getting more than they actually are and we must of had atleast 5,500-6,000. Im coppying this from the ignito thread but they need to develop that abit and make toys or something like that for kids.

My worry is that Friday night traffic would stop people driving around the M60 to get to home games

| As someone who used to work in Hanforth and not finish until 6 I've never missed an 8 kick off, the traffic on the M60 anti clockwise on a Friday is much lighter than other week nights.

That's encouraging. Don't have much experience of the M60 at that time of day/week - tend to avoid it like the plague - but on the odd occasion I've been forced roudn that way it's been chocka.

| As a rule I used to factor in that rush hour started and finished 1 1/2 earlier on a Friday (used to be in transport so had to know this type of thing). You obviously can't take into account accidents and the like but on a whole a Friday is pretty much dead on the M60.
Another factor is that you don't get United playing on a Friday and that is a killer on the M60 with the idiots trying to cut the junctions as late as possible and creating havock.

| We got over 6,400 against Crusaders, god knows why with the way we are playing.
TBF Glover has heavily marketed our games since taking over.
Some decent attendances the year we have by far our poorest squad.

You don't have to be a deity to conclude half price admission may have had something to do with it. Still a good turn out though if accurate.

TBH , I think Sunday 3 PM would work better , more time to get there and get parked , the access will be similar to DW stadium , more chance of away support turning up, suppose alot depends on the hospitality set up as one the main reasons for the move back to Fridays at the willows was the sponsorship / dining packages were easier to flog on an evening fixture rather than the Sunday . however it may be different at the new place ?

| I think the new stadium will encourage familys back, alot of my work colleagues and friend's (and may i add I do not agree with it), are put off because of the location at the Willows. If people have their views of the willows and do not want to take their children, will they go to Barton i wonder?

The way we are playing at the moment I would be surprised at that turn out if it was free in.
The marketing of the club at the moment is great, the product is tripe.

I doubt it located between the Brookhouse estate and Irlam is hardly leafy Cheshire.

Funnily enough this was something I was going to post yesterday but then forgot;
People (outsiders) have a misconception that just because the Willows is old that its dangerous to go to and moving to a night shiny stadium is much safer yet I've just spotted that crime is higher per head in Barton than Weaste so far this year and yet nobody appears too bothered.

| It's the cost that puts me off going. Putting prices up Ā£1 every season is way above the inflation rate, coupled with appalling catering inside the ground (cans of Tetley's poured by some filthy chav-in-a-box into a plastic glass - can't they learn from Millennium Magic?). I dread to think where we'll be in 3 years time.
If they had stayed at Ā£14 for a few seasons we wouldn't have seen the 50% of fans walk away from the game. It's not the same at other clubs where attendances are increasing (*awaits the cherry-picking of Bradford in rebuttal*)

Not disagreeing with your point at all, but can you think of any clubs who have increased their attendance as a results of their ticket prices??

I really don't think Salford fans are as price sensitive as you seem to think ... quite sure we'd quickly add a few thousand to the gate if we built a winning team.

I hope that the Chairman and other directors don't bother with this forum, as if they did they would surely feel like walking away from it all with all the negative comments etc.
In three years time we will be well entrenched in the new ground with all that it offers, seat prices that are reasonable for a brand new facility, I have paid up front for two years so have my family,as we feel that we get a good deal from the club.
The catering will/should meet anyone's requirements as the company who I understand have the franchise currently operate in other sports stadium's very successfully but I am sure that it wont be very long before someone is complaining over the price of beer, the colour of the staff uniforms, the stewards are not like they were at the Willows, bring back Tetleys etc.etc.
The on site car parking will be possibly have more spaces than any other SL club, this should calm the fears of both home and away supporters over security etc.
Finally a couple of points-
(1)Every sport's club that I frequent serve beer in plastic glasses especially inside the actual ground area.
(2)If the beer is that bad don't buy it.

and if you are in France, not only is it in plastic cups it is also San Alcohol as well
at least you can watch the match with the drink in your hand unlike some stadiums.

Cant remember the name but they do the catering at Northampton Saints RU club, and they do it very successfully by all accounts.
Although we will I feel have some people who will find any flaws in the company very quickly possibly before it even starts operating.

Is it still Lindley Catering? If so, I hope the stuff they've produced at Bury is an isolated incident, then. Over priced and a not exactly brilliant. Still, I'll wait and see what's actually produced at Barton before compaining...

If there was one fixed solution to increase gates AND income, surely every sales dept would just get on with it? My guess is: there isn't.

We charge Ā£23 (Ā£25 on the day) now for the best seats in the main stand, compared to Ā£21 for the best seats at Wigan. Can't wait to see what we class as a reasonable price for a brand new facility.

Not SL , Not even Championship
Cronulla Sharks
lying 12 from 7 wins in 19 games
Quote On Monday the Sharks had sold just 200 tickets, their worst pre-sales this year by more than a 1000, prompting panic in the boardroom. Already facing financial difficulties, the Sharks need to maximise their gate receipts to stay viable. In a bid to lure their apathetic supporters to the game, the club last night offered half-priced tickets to the match to those that purchase a full- priced ticket.
