I normally aim to turn up at the turnstyles five minutes before kick-off. Reading about the number of tickets sold has made me decide to forgo the final pint in the Lamb and turn up early. I've got to stand in "my" spot on the terraces for this final game.

Hopefully a flyer will be given out on the gate to everyone advertising the new ground, season tickets and what not. Would be criminal to miss out on this chance of promoting the club to the biggety big game reds, undecideds, lapsed fans etc.

I think more people are interested in bringing more than the other person, just get down there and give the stadium the send off she deserves! In what way are people competing?? This is the last game ever at The Willows. The more people that are there, the better the crowd and occasion will be, and we'll be able to give the place the send off it deserves.

Everyone on here wants to see the ground as full as possible as let's face it when was the last time (bar Wigan 96) anyone under the age of 30 has seen the ground remotely near capacity? This match is a fantastic opportunity to bring lapsed fans/new fans iback into the fold & I for one can't wait to see the place heaving. I've got a good feeling about Sunday, yes, it will be the end of an era but it will also be the start of something massive.

Whats the capacity at the willows now? Really cant wait for sunday, getting there as soon as it opens (12?) get in there early, take a few pics before settling down for a few pints in the vc. Can watch the shed fill up from there and make sure i get my old spot!

After the Bradford City fire/Hillsborough disaster in the 1980's it was reduced to 11,111 but i'm not sure if it's changed since. (Only the local authorities safety officer at the time will know how he came up with such an odd but exact number)

I realiase it was a quite a while ago now, but it was still the Super League era.

The only other game I can remember getting that many fans for, was Wigan in the Regal Trophy back in 94. Think that was my second game after converting from a Wigan fan, an epic game, still think we were robbed.

Anyway, got a little emotional reading this thread, gutted to see us leaving the Willows, but really excited about the match. I'm bringing a couple of Lincolnites with me, please don't stare at them, they just look a little freaky but are perfrectly normal.

Shouldn't make these comments as my sons officially a Lincolnite.

Look... The obsession for me is to see what the potential interest is in Salford City Reds... If the club can draw a crowd of around 10,000 for the last game at The Willows... That shows for me that 10,000 people have some kind of interest in watching Salford. Going into the new stadium... that's a pretty decent boost I'd say as it gives you an idea of what the potential could be.

Possibly - but more significantly it will balls up the lap of honour from the team and the speeches from John Wilkinson and Matt Parish. I'm sure there will be plenty of time to wander on to the pitch after that.

remember the 18s are playing Warrington aswell, 12 noon kick off, they deserve a good reception after a very successful season, lets all get down and cheer them on.

three generations just leaving now, me, two of my sons and my grandson, my grandson is wearing his Dads shirt from when he was mascot 20 years ago versus Whitehaven, I can't wait, really looking forward to it, a day for celebration but tinged with sadness and tons of memories.
