It will be very interesting to see how the bookmakers mark up for the game on Sunday at the HJ Stadium.
With both teams playing below-par at this time I suspect the layers will be taking no chances on this tricky game.
I will be hoping for a 14 start for the Reds, but I could be expecting too much on that one.'"
No odds at bookies yet, have just taken £10 at a generous (IMO) 4/1 on us at Betfair but the odds shrunk to 1/20 on after that.

West Stand (away fans)
Adults £17
Conc/Junior/Tax Dodgers £11
If my Geography is correct does that mean we're behind the sticks at the end near the big boozer? I've only been to the HJ once for last season's GF and seem to remember we were in the North Stand.
More importantly where are most Salford fans going to be boozing and will they be serving in the ground? At the NL1 GF we were in the club next to the train station with a few of the CC fans. I guess this will be full of Wire on Sun so can anyone recommend any alternatives?'"

Not that he'll be dropping the ball on numerous occasions as we most probably will be doing on Sunday!!'"
Don't remember Thaler reffing us once last season, are you sure mate?
Btw, I would agree with you, think it's a close call between Thaler & Bentham for worst SL ref.

Is it just a case of of those 'MINDS GAMES' by both coaches leading up to this fixture on Sunday
Before anybody has a bet on our game over at Warrington Wolves
I suppose we better wait and see what 19 man squads are available in both camps first.

| McRae Slams Comments, While Duo Return From Injury
Friday 24th July 09
Reds' stars Karl Fitzpatrick and Ian Sibbit return to Shaun McRae's 19-man squad as Salford City Reds face Warrington Wolves in Sunday's Derby clash at the Halliwell Jones (3pm).
Fitzpatrick has been out for several months and his return to first team action will bolster his Head Coach's back-line options, while Sibbit's return will be a welcome return to the pack after a few weeks out with a thigh injury.
The duo replace Steve Nash and Jason Walton who drop down to the reserves.
The Reds are looking to complete their first Super League double of the season after their thrilling 18-16 Good Friday victory at The Willows and know Warrington will be looking to pick up their own form, after being hammered last weekend by third-placed Huddersfield Giants.
Head coach Shaun McRae said: "Our problem in the last couple of weeks has been poor ball control which has put us into a poor position but we are not doing that badly overall. We are competing and contesting everything and defending well, but we need to build pressure better. Warrington will be highly motivated with a Cup semi-final on the horizon and a good chance of reaching the Play-Offs."
Luke Adamson meanwhile has been cleared of any serious injury after receiving 24 stitches in a cut over his eye and will start in the back row.
McRae meanwhile has responded angrily to the questions raised over whether young star Richie Myler should play against Warrington, a team he has been linked with in the press over the last month:
"I think it is ridiculous that there seems to be a debate raging over whether I should pick Richard Myler or not. I treat every one of our contracted players the same and Richard is a contracted player. I have to consider the 17 men I put out there and I field a team that I strongly believe is our best to win the game," he said.
Referring to comments made by former RL legend Alex Murphy in the press this week McRae said: "I certainly don't listen to the views of somebody who has not played or coached the game for years and who doesn't even watch us play. The problem is, people start to believe what they read. Should I not play any of our other players who are linked with other clubs? What next, should I not play players against their former teams?"
He added: "The reality is as I have said, Myler is a contracted player to our club and he has never indicated to me or the Club that he does not want to be considered for selection."

Come on now shauny bring Fitzy back in from the cold and stick him at Fullback, as for Turner v Litter who to put on the bench i would like him to go with Turner as Turner can play LF / SO and Centre and wing while littler can only play 2nd row and Centre and wing.

| Lee Jewitt is set to miss the game at the HJ Stadium and his place will now be taken up by Stephen Nash.
Karl Fitzpatrick played for the reserves today and sadly finished the game injured once again.

| you lot will win as we always lose at least next 5 games after losing to saints todays game might not mean alot on paper but it is massive for us as we have a big semi final in 2 weeks time and if we lose today cant see us beating leeds away next week so going into semi on 4 straight losses we will lose big time so its vital we win today but i got a bad feeling about it you lot have a decent record at hj stadium dont you
