So say for a family of 6 like mine (where granted 2 of us now pay for ourselves) who have been going all there life, Its £120 to gain entry, £5 for a programme, no discount for paying the £50 membership and then £3 roughly a pint. What an absolute joke, talk about ting on your own fans. What total moron has thought this one up. The money family's like mine have spent on the club over the years and they do this we have had 6 season tickets a year for the past god knows how long, drink & food money etc and we get charged £20 to get in.

I know a family who use to always come to the home matches and due to being self employed and struggling with money he has stopped coming, his wife still comes to home matches (when she can afford it) with her son and she has to work 3 different jobs just to get by. What an absolute disgrace the club can charge to get and give no thought for people like this.

dont know where you heard this but it aint true,

its normally 50p to get in if your not a member but easily save that on your 1st pint,

theres a bbq after the game at the con and will not be charging entry for this.

What a joke! I stopped drinking in the willows approx 3 years ago now, after 26 years every night apart from holidays and the odd time I was ill and I haven't missed the place one iota.

I wouldn't pay to go in the VC no matter what the occassion was and especially one that was pure and simple set out to fleece supporters of their hard earnt just because its the last game Salford RLFC will play.

If theres an event planned it should be FREE to all supporters, season ticket or not, first come first served. Like KOTS has stated I find it audacious that they should write a must for all die hard supporters!? Don't make me laugh and don't take the p[ii[/iss out of us.

FWIW its been a (another) sh[ii[/it season and for mine the sooner that dump is knocked down the better, I for one won't miss it!

If memory serves, it came from a late night discussion about putting something on for the Leeds game.

people were willing to offer to pay some money towards the cost of the bbq but there will be no extra charge to get in on the day, just spoke to someone on the committee and they have confirmed no extra charge but everyones welcome after the party for more fun

The above statement says a lot that is wrong at the club. And just for the people who see no wrong in the statement, it should read something along the lines - A warm welcome to the clubhouse to all Reds fans, the best clubhouse in RL, built for the supporters of Salford RLFC .

Not sorry your not welcome on a match day because we have an evening of cabaret, or red tape in front of the club to stop fans leaning against the wall whilst a wedding goes on. etc etc..

A score to get in I guess after 41 years support I won't be a die hard on the day, I 'll just take my memories home with me.

I thought the club would want more fans to come to last game but as useual they price supporters out if they think I am paying £45 poiund to see club that have nowt to play for and pay for drinks can't see many fans going totally priced me out totally all cluyb is intrested in is putting coffers in. Thius is. A typical salford reds organisation with no brains running it. We aint won out or ever looked like winning out so to ask £45 to say good by to willows is very poor and I certainly won't be attending game. And is certainly making me wonder weather this club cares for its supporters. Its dearer than watch a football game

We know what he/she is getting at though don't we? The issue is that Salford fans have each mulled over in their minds, for years, what their last match at The Willows will be like. And no doubt for many that included finishing the night off in the Variety Centre. Since the entry fee is overly exploitative, for some, these wishes have been crushed.

I suspect the VAST majority of fans could not give two hoots about the do in the variety centre.
There never seems to be more than a couple of hundred in the club after a normal game.....

Not really a normal game this one, is it? And we're talking a Sunday afternoon. The club was hammered after the Swinton friendly a couple of years back. That was a 7,000 crowd.

So how many does the club hold?
How can the numbers be limited unless tickets are sold?
I think £45 is a reasonable price.

Got my eye on the barmaid upstairs, I've got more chance of getting bitten by a Daffodil but faint heart and all that.

A lad who I work with and I were chatting today and he said that he was going to the last game but was shocked when he saw the prices of the after match doo, when he looked at what the entertainment was he couldn't see how that had any appeal to rugby league fans. Surely some well known faces from the sport telliing a few yarns about the old ground and maybe a thing for the players to mill around all nioght mingling with the fans would have been a much better nights entertainment.

He also said as I've suggest that he fully expects that the club make a rickets of something on the last day and we both agreed that if maybe Wilky makes a speech on the pitch that his mic will fail.

Anyone running a book on what exactly goes wrong
