An interesting point.It would seem SCR have gone from one extreme to the other.Last year,due to financial struggles,some players may have left at less than their true worth.Now all clubs know that SCR have a wealthy owner they may attempt to be paid more than the true worth for those players in whom SCR declare an interest.

It may be that with the Chief Executive Ferres leaving Cas a couple of days ago there may be a suggestion of financial struggle at Castleford.

It's a different situation. You need a Visa to enter Hull because of the obvious health risk. It doesn't apply elsewhere.

as for the chase signing, hull fc did everything possible to sign him, had top lawyers trying to get his visa situation sorted without success, what makes salford any different!

If he's now married to an English girl does that make a difference? No idea just asking. It's irrelevant anyway, he doesn't want to come to us as he is settled at Cas.

I've heard rangi married his English girlfriend in th summer so his visa is not a problem now

Regardless, marriage (or children) no longer automatically entitiles a foreign national to a working visa or citizenship, as many other have found out recently.
Rangi cannot get a new Visa as he has an unspent criminal conviction, it's just set in stone in the regulations that ANYONE with an unspent conviction cannot obtain a Visa or British citizenship.

Shame the venerable Dr doesn't feel the same about settling the clubs debt.

As I understand it the debts issue has gone through the correct procedure - they will be paid in full - and I should imagine he feels completely contrary about signing players,for the future,and paying off debts which are the responsibility and legacy of other people.
