Latu isn't one of our non-Fed players, he's been over here long enough to class as home-Fed.

Makes sence if true, he not going to get much game time behind Diskin and Le'Strange and we already have a very promising lad in the u20s. Good luck to him, he puts 100% in every time he's on the field and he's a great bloke.

Has always been an average player but if you guys are weak in the hooking role then he will do a job.

Thank God we've got you're approval, we've all been waiting to hear what you think before commenting.

I guess we can only dream of having players of the quality that is available to the likes of Hull KR. Maybe then we could be elevated to the astronomical heights of 7th place

Think you got lucky with the Leo-Latu thing. He frustrated more than he thrilled, and fans who have met him don't speak of him that highly (sulky and not interested in talking to fans).

Not a problem at all pal, will fit in well with some of the other distinctly average players you have signed

Why?

We needed a hooker.
We have signed a hooker.



Plus he has played consistantly at the top level and works hard. He should fill Alker's boots better than Leo-Latu.

He was granted a release from his contract so that means no compensation I'm afraid.

Bradford will have gotten something out of the deal. If not compensation or a player swap from Salford then it'll be because we've got another signing of our own lined up and needed to free some cap space. Otherwise why should a club release a player?

Well Godwin would be stuck behind Diskin and L'estrange so he might have wanted to leave. Bradford might need another position so they need to free up space on the salary cap, or they might be stuggling financially. Either way I don't think it has cost Salford anything extra.

Granted , Bradford with L'Estrange and now Diskin + an up-and-coming academy player meant you had more than enough cover for that position. as you said at very least freed up a chunk of salary cap to be used better elsewhere.
We on the other hand urgently need experienced cover in that position and Godwin provides that .
