Personally... I think we should. I think the one we currently have is looking a little dated now. Saints have come up with a new one, and I think it does the club justice.

I know many will say that we should go with the 'S'... but unless you are a current fan of the Reds, and one that likes the 'Old Skool' look... this is very limited.

So... thoughts everyone.

I've thought that the current one is naff from the outset. I'm not a graphic designer so I'm not goint to put forward any designs, but I just don't think that the current one is either classy or distinctive enough. But part of that comes down to the lack of distinctiveness of the name "Reds" (or City Reds) anyway. It's a tangent, and a can of worms, but I firmly believe that if you stand on most shopping streets in Greater Manchester (including Salford) and ask people who the Reds are, most answers won't mention Salford.

Oh yeah, the nickname/brand is a much more pressing issue than the logo.

It could be the logo for the club as a whole but I bet the team sticks with the current emblem. This isn't unheard of. MLB clubs have more than one logo.

I say 100% we do need the Devil back and I'm not talking some soft and cuddly Devil on the logo and branding I'm talking a real mean d one like the one's KOTS has found, sure when we get rid of the Village People/Power Ranger mascot we should find a softer edged Devil to be child friendly but for the main advertising as mean and dark as possible would be best.

i think to take full advantage on the marketing side of things you should have a character that you can build around

check this guy out. Looks good and the possabilities of cartoon stories that could be made behind it, toys for kids and all things along that lines. Much better than just a logo. something along this lines that aims at the real money pot market, the kids!!

Why not try building a brand around the old devil logo? It's simple, that specific design is distinct to us (rather than a generic devil) and it is supported with genuine history. It's also timeless - it'll always look good.

Look how many of the most high profile brands in the World use a simple single graffic: McDonalds, Nike, Apple, Vodafone, Mercedes-Benz and so on.

We don't need some silly NHL/NBA style logo.
