I can understand disappointed fans choosing not to applaud players if they come across to acknowledge the fans at the end of a game, but to scream abuse is pointless and won't help them play any better the following week. All this will achieve is knock players confidence even more and make them wish they were playing elsewhere.'"
Wirecutter this was one of the points I was trying to get across. Who is going to perform at their best when the first time they make a mistake they're berated by a bunch of screaming banshees with the intelligence of an amoeba.
On the other hand if we as a group get behind the players and coach and understand that players as well as ourselves make mistakes. They will undoubtedly perform more like the team we want.
