| This is becoming a trend in RL at the moment. It appears throughout the media too. It's always that the 'better' team had an off day and can't concede the fact that 'lower' teams sometimes just play better. I find it very annoying in a sport that used to pride itself on its honesty and sportsmanship that it's media outlet is so biased. Quips from the likes of Robinson are becoming the norm unfortunately...

| Couldnt agree more this and last week we had great games, played well (in parts)
But it seems every team we beat have played their worst game all season.
Please just one coach turn to the media and say 'Salford deserved the win, they play some decent stuff, well done'
When will it happen?

| I can totally understand why Robinson is fuming his team scuppered a twenty point lead for god sake how his he meant to feel ? ecstatic. Also it's a refreshing change to see an opposing team lose the game through a few missed conversions instead of us. Well two wins in a row the nothing wrong with Salford Brigade will be out in force now.

| I agree that coaches should always pay tribute to the opposition and we don't know whether he did but that bit just wasn't quoted.
I have to say that if I was the Catalans coach I would feel exactly the same. In the same way I have never seen a team come back like that, likewise I have never seen a team lose a game like that. Imagine if we 20 nil up and the other team took the lead while they had 2 in the bin I bet there wouldn't be too many compliments to the other team on this forum. Their play that led to Broughton's interception try was some of the most ridiculous I've ever seen when a team is 2 men up and their tackling was poor throughout.
There's no doubt that they contributed much to the game the way they played such open rugby but if you're a coach and looking for a win you might want your team to play a little more sensibly than they did.
It was a strange game in so many ways, the set after they went 20 up we made metres so easily that even then I started feeling then that we had a chance if we really wanted and thankfully we did. They didn't seem up for it once they had the lead until it was too late and we'd grabbed the momentum so much. None of this means that it wasn't a fantastic come back by Salford and one of the best and most surreal games I've seen but I understand why Robinson felt the way he did
I remember plenty of Salford coaches (and one in particular) being criticised on this very forum fans on this forum for not stating publicly how awful our team was and using the "excuse" of the other team playing very well.

| perhaps teams we beat play their worst game because we don't let them play any better and stiffle their efforts, well played Salford, the rot seems to be stopping but others who don't go will still knock us. But was it all a dream? On the BBC news this morning the only game they mentioned and shown some of the tries including Wigan's first which was dropped over the line but the ref did not bother using the video, so after the pictures it was then onto the tennis. Not even the score given out, very poor reporting.
