I agree on the point about offloading/passing but think he may have found his niche in the 2nd row. I certainly would love him to stay as a squad player. He has done well for us this season especially defensively. The Cas home game springs to mind. He certainly helped shore up the middle after the hot knife through butter opening.

I think it will be a real kick in the teeth for Alker if Littler gets a new contract, I agree hes had a good year but we need change at Salford and I wouldnt offer him a new deal

Fair point on Malc. I just think Littler could still do a job for the squad as cover when needed. Would rather that than see him drop down a level. If we don't keep him, would like to see him go to another SL club but can't see it with his age.

You can't fault Stu's effort and commitment to the club over the years. As as a supporter it will be sad to see him go but I fully understand the club is about to enter a new era and you can't allow sentiment to get in the way. For instance if the club were to give Stu another year as a cover player if might then mean having to lose an up and coming younger player like an Adamson or Sidlow to accommodate him in the players wage budget.

I'm sure it will be an amicable split with the club grateful of his services and Stu being grateful for the employment he's had over the years and the opportunity of a testimonial.
