Wigan Catalans Warrington Rovers Leeds Saints Leigh Salford Hull Wakey Hudds Cas As usual alot depends on injuries, also what happens at Salford, Leigh have lost alot of quality, depends if the replacements are as good, but still have two of SL best players. Leeds are a funny one, but think with Arthur they will do well, the two wingers will eat up meters for fun. McNamara could be in danger if he doesn't have a good season, has the most expensive side in SL, a good coach should be challenging with their squad.

Early prediction, with some reasoning: 1st - Wigan: Not much changed from last year and will continue their dominance 2nd - Hull KR: Have recruited well however think they will fall just short again. 3rd - Wire: Same as last year, any side with Williams in will be up there. 4th - Catalans: Going off their recruitment they (should) be much better in 2025. 5th - Saints: Think another disappointing year for their standards, big year for them on the the recruitment/retention front 6th - Leigh: Lost vital players and still need a half, but still have plenty of quality. 7th - Leeds: Think passed their starting 17 is very weak and no cap space, injuries could derail their year massively. 8th - Salford: Hope for their sake that finances don’t disrupt their year however it seems inevitable. 9th - Hull FC: A step in the right direction, think most would see this as progress. 10th - Wakefield: Solid year back in Super League, think they’ll do fine. 11th - Huddersfield: Long year ahead for the Giants I feel. 12th - Castleford: Wooden spoon for the tigers, Rimbu could anything however.

Wigan- Will still be the team to beat, French is by far and away the best and most exciting player in SL, strong pack, electric backs and halves, can't see them losing many. Wire- As long as Williams and Dufty stay fit they'll be near the top. Rovers- Will miss Parcell and Hall but still recruited well, can they avoid injuries again? Sts- There's a few creaking bodies but will be up there, not convinced by Wellens, individual quality will see them through. Catalans- Unknown in many ways, lots of new recruits, if they can find consistency they may go higher. Leeds- Think Arthur will have them more consistent, they've got a decent young team. Leigh- Lost a lot of quality but Armstrong could be electric along with Lam and Ipape they'll have one of the best spines around. Salford- Will depend on their financial situation and their ability to retain their squad when the vultures circle. Hull- Lots of changes hopefully Cartwright will get us some consistency, youth players gametime last season will help us massively. Wakefield- Recruited well will be solid, Johnstone and Mckmeeken are great signings. Cas- Some quality but maybe not enough to get much higher. Hudds- Lost a lot of quality and not really replaced. Top 5 could really be in any order depending on injuries and suspensions. Then Leeds, Leigh and Salford. Finally us Wakey, Hudds and Cas, hopefully we're aiming to be top of that mini group or even break into the middle group this coming season.

Like most posters I don't envisage a massive change from last year across the board. Taking a punt, I will go for the following: 1. Wire 2. rovers (2nd to Wire on points difference!) 3. Wigan 4. Saints --------------------------- 5. Catalans 6. Leeds 7. Leigh 8. Salford -------------------------- 9. Huddersfield 10. Fc 11. Cas 12. Wakefield Grand Final: Wigan (comfortably beating rovers!) C. Cup Final: Wire (comfortably beating rovers!!) There could be any movement within those three separate groups but the league again has a top, middle, bottom air about it. I notice that everyone who's posted so far has each team in roughly the same place so there seems to be a general consensus about how it may pan out over the year. There is usually at least one team who do better than predicted at the start with at least one favoured team going in the opposite direction so you can never be wholly sure with these predictions. Even though there is a more positive air around the club I still think we are having to come from a long way back after these recent horrendous years. It's more about the attitude and performance level with us that I'm interested in, Although I'm hoping to witness more than three wins this time round! There are a lot of questions around those bottom five clubs I've listed, with no one really knowing how any of them will go. I'd take 8th for us right now as a positive, but after these past years I'm loathe to set my sights too high, we really have been badly burned of late and I'm wary at setting my sights too high. One step at a time and all that. Like I said, if we're competitive most weeks we should win more games than of late and at least start to look like we are travelling in the right direction again. Let's hope in future we look back on 2025 as the year the fight back commenced. Honestly think that is the best we can hope to see in 2025.

We will be around the 6th place. We’ve got too many experienced winners in the team to be at the bottom end. Posters forget how bad most sl teams were last season.

1. Wigan - the benchmark club 2. Catalan - if their signings do well, think they'll be up there 3. Rovers - recruited well, think JWH will have a big impact for them 4. Wire - usually do well but have a wobble at some point 5. Leigh - think they've recruited well, one of the best spines, despite losing Asiata 6. saints - think they'll underachieve and wellens will get sacked halfway through the season 7. FC - probably being optimistic but think having a disciplinarian in charge, experienced players and youth with an extra years experience behind them will see us do better than many are expecting 8. Leeds - can still see them underperforming again, interesting to see how Connor gets on there 9. Wakey - recruited well, good coach in Powell, doing well off the pitch too 10. Salford - if they do have to cut a significant amount of wages, that'll badly affect them, they lack strength in depth as it is 11. Cas - ageing squad and poor signings, although interested to see how Rimbu goes 12. Hudds - poor recruitment and Robinson is a very inexperienced coach

No way will we be as high as 6th.

1.Wigan 2.Wire 3.Rovers 4.Catalan 5.Saints 6.Leigh 7.Leeds 8.Hull FC 9.Salford 10.Wakefield 11.Castleford 12.Huddersfield Wigan benchmark team, the team to beat for me, think Warrington will improve a little and can see them pushing for GF, KR lost Purcell a massive loss IMO and brought in an old ill disciplined replacement. Catalan/Saints could go either way but a slow start for Wellens could see him sacked. Think same with Leigh/Leeds but think Leigh slightly better for me, I've put us an optimistic 8th purely on the fact Salford got financial issues and can see them losing a few key players and they haven't got a massive squad as it is. Wakefield be a solid 10th, Castleford and Huddersfield both struggle a big fight for last for me.

We won't finish top 6, in fact we won't even trouble it, 8th at best IMO. To be honest I'll be delighted if we just improve, start moving on the right direction. If we can get 2/3 players from the current crop of youngsters to be good SL players then we could be fighting for 6th in 2026.

The other big unknown is injuries. If everyone has their first choice 17 available every week then I'd say wigan to finish top, with rovers and catalans fighting for 2nd place, wire, saints and leigh 4th to 6th, leeds and salford 7th and 8th with us, cas, hudds and wakey 9th to 12th, however most teams have thin squads so injuries will play a massive part in where you finish. Anyone confident of us finishing 8th or higher is deluding themselves IMO. We have a new coach, plenty of mid 30's players and some with poor injury records. If we finished 8th and were consistent all season I'd say this squad has probably over delivered

It is nice to see some people have confidence in the squad and that a 6th place finish is achievable, but for me we would be banking on a few sides better than us to have a bad year which does feel pretty unlikely. There has been emphasis on the next three years, Mylers and Cartwrights contracts expire in 2027 along with key players such as Asiata and Abdull, and till then the owners won't be taking a penny out of the club. The blueprint they are working towards seems like 2025 Season - Be competitive again, get fans back onside and give us something to build on. 8-9th place will be seen as progress. 2026 Season - Challenging for top 6 will be seen as an expectation rather than ambition. 5-6th place finish would be the target. 2027 Season - Consolidating ourselves as a top 6 club whilst pushing for a top 4 finish. 6th place would be the minimum, 4th place or above would be the aim. Obviously only a plan, we could reach the end goal quicker or of course not at all, but its nice to see after several years of negativity that there is something to look forward to.

Our recruitment has been about as good as it could be, b had we go Lam, Whitehead and another overseas player instead of Seizer, we would have been a different prospect. Unfortunately it's been hard to recruit, but think Myler has done as good a job as he could do. I just can't see this squad finishing higher than 6 other teams as it stands.
