Who is the referee? It's a good job I've not paid to go and watch this. The refereeing is simply awful. It's like they've given a 7 year old the 6 again system. It seems like Saints have conceded a 6 again every time they've touched the grass. He's got no control of the game at all, just pulling weird calls out left right and centre and penalising everything.

The two commentators are frequently debating between themselves as to what the calls could be for. When the commentators who are paid to be professional and neutral are confused, you know the refereeing is bad.

Whoever he is, sack him. He can't be allowed to infect another game.

He's giving 6 again every other tackle , he's shocking. Anyway Saints have now stepped up and might run riot.

That referee is an absolute whopper. Did they just stand down Leigh high street asking if anyone wanted to earn a couple of hundred quid for 80 minutes work? Shocking.

That said, we were utter garbage and Leigh played well. Leigh deserved to win that and should have won that.

I have no idea what has happened to Coote but he has been beyond shocking in every game he’s played this year.

Only positives for me are Wingfield and Dodd. We all know Dodd will be the GB half back for years to come but Wingfield was a bit of an unknown but looks like he will have a big future

I would. We were there for the taking and that should have been your first 2 points. Whether you “deserved” it or not, you should have won that game and I’m sorry you didn’t as we deserved a loss

It was a much better performance from Leigh but, we are just not good enough. Yes, we can still get better. We also had about 5 of our 1st choice players missing, so there is definitely room for further improvement.

Willy, it's not the rule that's the problem, it's the ref being whistle happy with the bleeding thing.

I agree with willzay. Sometimes you want to just slow the game down on the back of a penalty and then kick for touch to gain field position.

The rule seems to work well in the NRL

The problem is with the 6 again rule is that it isnt really a penalty.

Teams are now abusing it on tackle 1 and 2 to slow the game down and set up the defensive lines. If it was a kick to touch losing 30 meters like it should be, it would not happen.
