| Thirty years I’ve supported the club and my greatest ambition has always been to see us run out at Wembley.
Unlikely though it looks how ironic would it be for us to make it there the one year (hopefully) that nobody will be able to go.
What an utterly empty and meaningless event this would be. League games behind closed doors just about works but a final, not in a million years.
I don’t think I could bear watching it on TV in front of an empty Wembley, to me it’s a travesty, I’d go as far a heartbreaking.
So much as I want a cup run for the cash, for once bowing out in the semis would be just fine. Defeatist or honest?
Luckily the way we are playing I don’t honestly think it will be an issue thank the lord.

| I see where you're coming from, but don't agree. I would love our team to win the Challenge Cup be it behind closed doors or not, although my preference would to be there to see it in person. Trouble is if we did go on to win it, in the eyes of the many Wakefield Trinity detractors it would be dismissed as not a 'proper' cup win and we would be known by them as the Covid Cup winners. But as somene who was at Wembley in '79 as a young twenty three year old I'm now approaching my sixty fifth birthday so I'll take whatever I can get as time is running out.

I’ve seen us lose two semi finals so I think I could cope, unless it was Cas.

If we could win it then clearly that’s a good think but I don’t think anyone could deny that from a fans point of view a lot of the magic would be lost.
I’m of that generation where all your RL was live, with only the CCup being televised. I just don’t get the buzz from TV, younger fans probably do as for the last 25 years TV and the game have been inseparable.

We go as a family group every year regardless of the teams and enjoy the whole weekend. The recent final atmosphere with Catalans was something special. Enjoyed the day when we lost to Widnes but not quite the same as beating Wigan that day. Lets not mention the Watersplash!
Would be extra special for me to get to see Wakey at Wembley again regardless of result and would be massive for club reputation even behind closed doors.

| The ultimate anti climax.
Having said that, I'd just like us to win some silverware but, would be gutted if we were to get there and fans couldn't attend.
Hopefully by the time the final is played there could be "some" fans allowed in the ground.
Mind you, after last weekend, it's all hypothetical

| Yes I care, I care about every game doesn't matter whether it's in the cup top 8 or relegation battle, each and every game I want to see us do well and win
Lack of cup competitions has made the seasons now boring it's becoming like groundhog day every season

| Are not crowds now allowed back at live sporting events? i think its just been announced this last week, albeit crowds not to the full capacity of venue. You never know, by the time it gets to final, they might even be allowing full capacity at outside events [ probably wishful thinking on my part

| I would much rather to get to a final where fans can attend. Not that it matters much because our form in the CC has to be the worst in SL and that doesn’t look like changing soon.

I think the halcyon days of "A great day out" have passed lampy. I've been lucky enough to see Wakefield play there in 1960, 1962 and 1979 ( I
would have gone in 1968 but I got married a few weeks later and spare money was scarce).
A day or weekend at Wembley was certainly a big occasion particularly in the early Sixties when a trip to London was the equivalent to going half way around the world these days. The shops in town were all decorated out in red, white and blue. Everyone was talking abut the game in the pubs and the streets. On the morning of the game Westgate and Kirkgate stations were thronging with men, women and kids decked out in the club colours wearing huge rosettes. All singing and shouting. then the icing on the cake was to see the team travelling through the city on the way from Westgate station to the town hall on the back of the Beverly's brewery wagon. You couldn't move for the crowds in Wood Street.
It wasn't quite like that in 1979 as we obviously lost, but there was still that element of a great day out, and, because the occasion is totally alien to us Trinity fans, I'm sure that if we ever happened to get there again Trinity fans would make it "A great day out" again.

| Its a shame that the CC not what it used to be. Like you say all the town work places and pubs buzzing.
I seem to remember Wembley full but now well down.
Brilliant memories attending the water splash with my dad .

I hope we go all the way, I’d love to be there, but if unable I will make it a great day at home, the only thing that I know would flatten me , if he was picked, would not being able to be there to watch Jordan walk out onto the Wembley turf. I know how emotional it was watching him play for England but would swap it all to be at Wembley for him and Wakey.

Can't imagine owt to make a dad more proud than seeing his lad walk out at Wembley for his home town team, BLM. I sincerely hope you get your wish for you and all the Trinity fans. Jordan's still a young 'un. There's plenty of time yet for him to achieve that goal.

| I care very much was only just born when we last got to the final in 1979 so never been to watch us at Wembley remember going to doncaster in 2008 against Hull fc came out of the ground in tears after the game cos above anything else that is what I most want to go see my team walk at Wembley win or lose it would be the best day ever 2016 semi against wire was a bit different the injury situation that day meant that we didn't really have a chance so wasn't as down beat after that match but it would still have been nice

| At this stage, I'd just like us to win a game by playing well enough.
The fact that its the CC is largely irrelevant.
We'll be looking for a much closer affair this time out.

No! I missed the 1963 final. On that particular Saturday an organised tour around Doncaster railway works (The Plant) seemed a bigger attraction .to a keen train spotter like myself. Visits to WembIey for Trinity in the Sixties were a regular occurence; trips around Donny works were not. I went to the aforementioned celebrations in town though,
