| Totally confused I thought there had done away with golden point and before kick offs Jenna (skysports) went through the new rules stating that no 3rd man in the tackle round the legs, Saw it loads of times during the matches !!!

| Hi ACKO, seems you can be third man in on a tackle from behind provided its above the knee ! But as you say, there were many & some
Lower than the knee but no mention on a third man pulling a single leg which is very dangerous !

| The ruck is still a lot slower than the NRL ruck. I suppose refs have got used to it at a certain pace. The six-again rule hasn't had the dramatic effect it had in Australia, although I always get the impression that Hicks likes a rest as often as possible. He never seems as keen to get the game going as Thaler.
I've watched more NRL than ever this year and the main two things I've noticed is that teams tap the ball more often than here, where we tend to "got for the two", and that the refs are more relaxed about players being taken above the horizontal. They seem to blow up when it seems dangerous, whereas we tend to go purely for the spirit-level test.
The one downside about Super League returning is that the NRL coverage is back to three games a week.

| Although there were a few more errors than usual in yesterdays games, particularly in the Hudds - Leeds game, none of the sides looked like it was their firs game in 4 months.
Also, the pace of the games, especially for a first hit out, was incredibly quick and will test fitness to the max, with very, very few breaks in play
Saints defence was superb and although Catalan ran out of ideas, this was down to Saints relentless defence - very impressive.
At least we know what to expect.
As for Shudds blowing 20 points advantage in the last quarter, just what can you say. They had been totally dominant for 60+ minutes
It's a funny old game but, great to have SL back.

| All points are true but hudder s lost discerplin in that apart from penalties they consistently gave re-sets away, result was all momentum went to Leeds !
I predict in time we all will realize constant re-sets will be very harmful apart from all the tackling, the team with momentum end up with six tackles near or on the line, result all teams crack in the end !
I note in the NRL, they clear off the tackle asap & even roll away or demonstrate no infringement ! Super League do not, therefore more
Re-Sets !

I felt that Hudds looked out on their feet and that’s why the tide turned, they were very much blowing towards the end of the first half but 20mins of hammering Leeds took it out of them, they didn’t score enough points with the amount of possetion they had for 65mins, in the end possession and sets wats pretty even but Leeds just pipped them as they were the fitter team.

| One of the main things I don’t enjoy about how the game has developed is the near constant whistle blowing for minor infringements which stop and start the game
I thought the 6 again rule really limited the ref slowing the game down. Much better to watch

Yep, think we have watched just about every single NRL match since the re-start, but I have to say that it was getting a bit monotonous as virtually all of them play five drives and a kick, so it was good to see some British rugby back on the telly

I'd hate to have robots like Jason Toumalolo, Josh Papalii, David Klemmer just to name a few in the Wakey team.

| I have Sky so could watch as much Ozzy Rugby as I like but very rarely bother. Have preferred watching the wall to wall highlights of past Super League games that have been available for many weeks.

All quality players, I have to agree and yes any one of them would be more than welcome at Belle Vue, but that doesn't detract from the fact the 'general' style of Aussie play is still 5 drives and a kick.
