Once again if true, Gary Hetherington wanting his call to become factual, promote a club 2021, without playing a game ?
Once chosen all other clubs wanting that spot would not only complain but I suspect legal challenges would follow with
The result of a farce, what this would look like to other sports & the non RL public would make me look silly again.
I would prefer an undisputed winner of the championship , 2022 !

Unless we are going to scrap "magic" there has to be an even number of clubs in SL.
As there are no further games likely to be played in the Championship, it's just the mechanism for promoting a club which needs to be agreed.
This of course assumes that Toronto arent coming back and let's face it, after walking away this season, they dont deserve to be in SL next year, aside from the fact that they were stonewall candidates for the drop
There seems to be 3 options for promotion:

Fev, as beaten finalists last season
Averaging the points won so far, although this is skewed with so few games having been played
Promote Toulouse as the current top club

There has been the possibility of a "vote" suggested but, this would stink the house out

No Toronto next year, playing with 11 teams in SL so no relegation and the championship play as normal with 1 promoted team, simple. I’ll have a fiver on that

If we didn't have "magic" it would be bang on but, which club would miss out on the chance of 2 points (or be gifted 2 points and not have to play) ?

I’d wager Toronto will keep their place but having booked up Newcastle for magic weekend I’d be almighty hacked off if Wakey got a bye or didn’t take part.
