| Can't let a player like hiku go anywhere else
Didn't he state he'd love to return one day? The only negative is if he hits form then the nrl will want him back
Do we want to go through all that again?

Class centre. Think there will be only a limited number of clubs who could afford him in today's financial environment, but wherever he went he would strengthen that team significantly.
If Inglis is just here for a year, how about getting an agent to find Toby King some NRL experience in 2021, then bring him home a more complete player when Inglis leaves?

Sometimes, it works in reverse, Dita's
Remember when Sibbit scored tries for fun (most of them were easy ones, after Langer put them on a plate for him). The NRL came knocking, he went, he found out he was out of his depth, and returned shell shocked, and his career went on a huge downward spiral

True.
However, you can also point at Cooper and see the positives.
Also, look at Wigan, getting Bateman back. He'll be twice the player he was after his short stint at Canberra and, injuries permitted, he will tear it up next season.
Personally, any young British player worth his salt should look for a stint in the NRL if they want to improve their game and extend their time and, with it, market value in the British game.
Where would Tyrone McCarthy's SL career really have headed if he had stayed at Wire?

| King to back row, Hiku to centre.
But, in all seriousness I don’t think we could fit him under the cap. Inglis isn’t supposed to be on marquee money, but he must be on a serious wedge. BMM will leave along with Gelling probably. I assume Hiku would want almost marquee money. Can’t see how we could afford it.
If you had the choice of Hiku for 4 years or Inglis for one, which would you go for?

Practically, it's Hiku for 4 years. For marketing purposes, it's Inglis for a year.

| I'd rather have Inglis for the year o be honest, King is still Young and is improving every year, so a year learning off Inglis can only enhance him further.
I keep hearing a random rumour that we are very close to signing Isaac Luke for next year which i find utterly bizzarre if it actually happened. A well past his best hooker wouldn't add much to us in my oppinion. I'm not sure where the rumours have started from to be honest but i'm hearing it alot at the minute. Anybody else heard anything on this?

| He was great for us in that short spell, but he's been pretty anonymous for the Warriors this season so far. Also, and echoing other posters, he disappeared all too quickly for my liking. It would be a no from me.

| Great player, but salary cap will dictate I feel.
And I'm not really sure it would work with Inglis coming too.
Plus there's the fact he wanted to go back to the NRL last time he was here.
We desperately need at least one prop.
We rely too much on Coops and Hill.
Sita hasn't shown me he can play big minutes effectively.
Joe is good and has shown he's effective but I don't think he's big enough to be a starting prop.
Latu - will he ever be fit or play? Strange signing.

Chances are he still may have ended up at Salford.

It's just to add to our frustration. I have this feeling that we'll see "why didn't we try and sign James Graham" posted on these boards when SL resumes.

More likely he'd be painting and decorating someone's house.
He was wasting in his time in our lower leagues until he took a punt on going down under. Saved his career.

At this point in his career he was only ever going to go to Saints (if anywhere) in SL. How good he will be remains to be seen.

Indeed, on both points. It still remains a point of frustration that we cannot recruit a good standard prop, when we've clearly needed one (if not two) for a couple of seasons or more. I'm not suggesting that we should have made an effort (although we could have done, who knows) to sign Graham, as I agree with you that he was always heading back to Saints.

| I don't know if it was just my disappointment of the season that skewed my opinion but I didn't think he looked like a total world beater and he only played 2 games (?) and middle 8s, so 4 matches against championship sides and the other 3 against teams struggling at the bottom of superleague. Even if he tore up trees more serious questions needed to be asked of him for him to gain the reputation he has in some quarters around here.
If he will come for gelling money then great I'd still have him, king would be a good option for second row and covering centre. Our priority IMO remains in signing a top quality prop.

Yeah i think how good Hiku was, was blown out of proportion seeing who we played against, but theres no doubt he was a good centre.
Yeah prop has been a weak point for us for a long time now, I'm willing to give Latu a chance no matter how much i say i don't think he's the right signing. A new lifestyle and different style of competition could be the making of him. Seeing as he's lost weight from when he arrived and has clearly been working on his fitness i'll give him a chance.
If and that's IF we have actually signed Rob Butler that for me is a very positive signing. I know he only had 1 year in super league but he was very impressive and took the ball up hard and tackled hard and he's still only 23-24 years old.

| Prop is undoubtedly the burning issue, but since we needed one who of our competitors has managed to sign a decent prop? There just doesn’t seem to have been any available!
