| Wasn't going to stay with us and don't really think we've had our monies worth out of him, some of this due to mismanaging his injury comeback last year. With the drop in TV revenue I don't see us having the money for an expensive replacement. So its Rocky, maybe Max for 2021.

I’m sure max or rocky will step into the breach quite comfortably, the show goes on .

To get a 2 year contract with any club at his age, is no mean feat.
Great rugby brain and excellent kicking game and still massively competitive but, he's 37 years old and we need to be looking at the future.
He was superb for us in his previous sting but, dogged by injuries he has struggled to have the impact that we may have wanted.
Brough should have been playing for England years ago and he was certainly better than just about every other England HB of his generation.
It's a crying shame that he ended up in a Scotland shirt.
However, if/when the season gets going again, he could still go out with a bang
Let's hope that he's still got a few big games in him

| Depending on format of remainder of this season - e.g. no relegation.
Would just hand the spot to Hampshire and see where it goes.

| Well despite your alleged misgivings shared by some, good luck Danny at your new club, and thanks btw for your contributions here if by some chance you don't play for the club again.

| I wonder how secure Danny's tenure at The Bulls will be.
Weren't they experiencing financial difficulties once again; even before the onset of restrictions due to covid-19?

| No bigger fan of Broughie than myself and I was really pleased when we signed him, but sadly the injury did him no good at all.
Good to see him teaming up with JK once again and if anyone can get that little bit more out of Danny, he can
Good luck DB! You've been a pleasure to watch, even in a Shudds jersey.

That’s interesting though I’d have to questing both Broughs and JKs mental faculties at commiting to a club in that position?

Financial troubles sorted now were sorted in October when Mark Sawyer took over done a very good job at Dewsbury, has said Bulls will operate in the same manner.

I’d argue that I’m a bigger fan of Brough.
Best of luck in the future, a very good friend and mentor is Dan. Looking forward to our quarterly 18 holes when things return to some sort of normality.

Too inconsistent to be the England scrum-half and too much daft stuff. Super-competitive but doesn't have enough great days. Compare him to Danny Maguire or Rob Burrows, who may have quiet days but will have great games more than most. And he does stuff like being sent home from a World Cup for boozing. Remember him being sent off for abusing a touch-judge when we were 50-0 up against the Crusaders?
A great player on his day, but he can't be relied upon to have one often enough, even at his peak. The great players have a great day when it matters. There must be a reason why Leeds, Saints and Wigan weren't beating his door down during his last spell with us and he ended up at Huddersfield.

I agree that he had his moments but, for me, he just needed a coach who understood what made him tick and maybe, those running the England/GB set up never quite understood how to get the best from him.
At his best, he was streets ahead of Maguire or Burrows, streets ahead.

I don't think so, necessarily. On his day, Broughy was outstanding. What you got with Maguire and Burrows was a certainty that they would have a good game, and come up with the right play at the right time. With Broughy, there was less certainty of it. That doesn't mean that when you got it, he wasn't a match for the best.

Your quite right, on his day Broughy was better than the pair of them, however I just questioned wrencats opinion that he was streets ahead of them, stretching it a bit I thought.

As an "all-rounder" I think he was better than McGuire and Burrows, and I'm sure if anyone can successfully "coach" him (if he needs coaching), John Kear can.
