It was criminally poor defense whoever scores it but you still have to see the opportunity and make it work, can't take that away from Liam Marshal.
It will deservedly be a try of the season contender.

had that been scored against you you'd of been up in arms asking where the full back was, Marshall took advantage of a woe full full back who wasn't even there to contest the kick through, there's no negative in that statement it was a kick and chase which wasn't contested no different to RU

Quality try, reading of the situation, pick up and finish. Youre not going to have much to say about a full back on that play, you cant legislate for the winger kicking ahead from the kick off on play 1, it doesnt happen

The fullback was in the left centre spot because Sam Wood (the left centre) had kicked off and it was him who tried to chase Marshall down.

Aye the score suggests it was more like an avalanche than a roll, it's gonna be a long season if you fall apart every time you lose sezer, It's good on you to praise Wigan though and not make excuses.

The old kick from the base of the scrum is rarely used these days but, with the FB usually up in the defensive line and assuming you have a couple of players with real pace, it's a great weapon.
Marshall spotted that there was no one covering at the back and exploited the space really well, an excellent try.

A real piece of opportunism and he should be congratulated for having the balls to try it.
