An out of sorts Cas were still too good for a very poor side who kicked our ass.

Have you seen our points for columns, only 45 points for. The lowest in super league at this time. This is the true reflection of our attack. Poor defence and an even worse attack.

Like watching us against Cas really ,in the game at half time, then a sin binning and then all Cas in second half .Nothing spectacular from Cas ,just got a hooker that tears you a new one if you give him room, and players flooding through in support . Penalties killed us the same as HKR, keep them to a minimum and your in with a shout .

At least the refereeing has been consistent.

Wonder if William Hill are taking bets on who gets sin binned in their next game.

Regarding the sin binning, I think Child has set the standard now so Kendall had no option. It's the diving that looks a bit staged for me. Lets see how the next games pan out but this is reminiscent of Saints a few years back when they began milking penalties for crusher tackles.

Didn't Child set that trend off when we played at Leigh, I think it was a forward maybe Wilkes who finished up with a 2 match ban.

There is more and more gamesmanship (cheating) coming into the game and I think that Cas are right up there in the begging and diving stakes.
Players going down, as though they're on their last breath, only to suddenly be revitalised when the penalty has been given.
Back in the day, their own team mates wouldn't have accepted them being "soft" but, now, it's all about conning the ref as often as possible.

Not sure if we ought to lower our standards and do the same, but we seem to be the only club that generally speaking plays fair.

I think that it's been that way for a long time and although I detest the diving and "playing dead", maybe we should join the masses.
Having said that, it would be better for the game if the refs knew when they were being conned.
Can you imagine what Fred Lindop would have done if any player had tried to con him ?
We also tend to lack those players that wind the opposition up and get under their skin, which can draw a few penalties rom the opposition.

Its nothing new, Murphy famously did it in the 70s to get one of the Leeds players sent off in the cup final?

Definitely Sid Hynes, one of the dirtiest players of the sixties and seventies. It's really sad to see the increasing amount of gamesmanship coming into the game. It's really spoilt assoociation football over the last few years and is now taking over in rugby league. The game now is probably about 60% skill and 40% trying to con the ref. Certainly the likes of Eric Clay, Billy Thompson and Fred Lindop wouldn't have stood for it.

Not on topic I know ,but I’m sure that’s Webster sat at the side of agar tonight ,sent a shiver down my spine seeing those two teaming up again .
