Great effort by Trinity today, especially in defence.
Our makeshift HB pairing and young fullback seemed a little better than Ratchford, Widdop and Austin.

I'm still in shock but, with a HUGE smile on my face.

Wire may not have been "on it" yesterday and credit to Trinity for the win. However, to suggest that Moran will be losing patience is just ridiculous.

He'd do well as Trinity fan, he'd have a field day on our forum.

How people can decide a season is in a rut after three games are beyond me. Widdop has only played one game and is barely on first name terms with his teammates! It's a cliche but the season is a marathon, not a sprint. Until the end of April last year Trinity were looking like real contenders then look at what happened and it works both ways.

Teams that start the season on fire don't usually win it, look at Saints in recent years whilst a lacklustre Leeds team won the chuffing thing from nowhere a few years back.

Wakey can only compete with the top teams when its shocking conditions that act as a leveler.

It was nowhere near a mud bath. The surface was pretty quick really. There weren't many kicks along the ground which held up. Most of them ran dead.
