3 games is harsh IMO. It was a red, but wasn't malicious, he just got ot wrong and copped him. I expected just the 1 game. It is what is, games picked out of hat from the RFL again.

On another note, Apparently youre allowed to lead with the elbow now though, thats nice to know.

That rule isnt new, however, it only applies to certain clubs.

I'm not one for knee jerk responses, and I'm still a fully signed up member of the dwindling Hill fan club, but I'd strip him of the captaincy for this.

We needed a good start to the season, were already handicapped by the loss of Widdop and he let us down big style and.now we are further handicapped. Captaincy should make a players influence grow, but its had the opposite effect on Hill and it's time for a change.

Hughes & Austin should be the skippers.

Well alright if that is now the 'standard' punishment for that offence let's see what the next offender gets. All we ask is for consistency.

Agree with Morisseyisawire above, this is an ideal opportunity to take the captaincy off him and get him just concentrating on his game and return to the excellent player he was and is still capable of being

A bit harsh I didn't expect anything less and I'm not sure about minimum bans for certain grades of offence but thought with my P&B specs on 1 game or sending off sufficient.

Been said for 2 seasons running Hill has not got the temperament to be captain, neither does he lead by example losing his cool and complaining to the referee.

I suspect that he gets frustrated but can’t express it like a Sinfield, Wellens or Briers. But you are right he shouldn’t be Captain.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there. Hill might be a big presence in the changing room because of what he does on the field but that doesn’t necessarily make him the best captain. A captain needs the smarts to gently put the pressure on the ref to keep them honest.

He should’ve realised that the only way to save himself in that situation was to quickly put his hands up and apologise. Maybe that swings it to a yellow and a one match ban. All of this ‘I didn’t touch him’ wears pretty thin.

A captain needs to be articulate.

What I can't get with Hill is that he didn't seem to be like this in his younger days. It's like becoming captain made him more of a prickly hot-headed character rather than matured him.

He's gone the opposite way to Morley. Remember how Morley always got in trouble at Leeds and he had a bad disciplinary record with the Roosters too, when he joined us people were saying one of the black marks against him was that he got suspended too often. I don't remember him getting suspended much/at all for us. Perfect captain.

Ellis robson has replaced Hill in the 21 man Squad,again i've never seen him play so can't comment on him but i think i'd put Luis Johson in a head of him as he has more first team experience as far as i know.

Been saying this since 2017. Let Hill get back to doing what he does best and let someone more inspirational drive the team.

I sponsored Ellis last season, watched him play for Widnes against Toulouse. He's a smart player with some pace, but he's a back-row forward, so can't see him getting into the 17 on Thursday with Hill already missing.

Unless We're pushing BMM up to Prop and having Ellis in the 2nd Row with J. Clark at Loose?

3 game ban after a red card is harsh. I've no complaints about the red card even though it wasn't intentional or dirty IMO. The most annoying thing is you know that other players will do things far worse than this and not even concede a penalty over the course of the season. Or they will be put on report and then get a lesser ban, even a 3 game ban after staying on the pitch for the remainder of the match still isn't the same punishment. I honestly hope superleague breaks away from the RFL I'm bored of their ineptitude at sorting out the game, the officials and judiciary.
