| Watched the game. He was solid, looked hard to put down and looked hungry for work. He's going to need some time as he looked a bit out of shape.
Kibula and Doro impressed me too, Doro is really aggressive in defence, but looks a bit small for a SL front rower.

As you say hard to say but i'd say he's more Rauhihi than Manu Ma'u. I think we will see Kibula before Latu.

The best props in the day were all around 5.8-5.9

I agree height isn't important, but overall mass definitely is.

| I thought Latu worked hard, was busy on the field, and did a long stint. I got the impression that orders for the day may have been to assume it was his first SL game. I guess he will certainly not be up to speed with the plays / calls, but I suspect he might feature against Saints particularly if Hilly cops a ban. He is not huge but runs hard and can change his point of attack. In contrast Kibula is very big, tends to run straight at the opposition and looks a bit awkward. I think I would worry about him being a bit flat footed in defence. So for me Latu gets the thumbs up but not that impressed with Kibula.
I agree with Gas about Doro, he is a bit small for a prop but worked really hard and tackled aggressively. I am sure we will see him make a debut but he will need to learn a bit of footwork to make the hard yards. Another player to catch the eye was Connor Wrench who came off the bench and helped himself to two tries. One from backing up a break, the second was real quality as he broke the defensive line and then had the speed to run around the FB. He is only 18 but not surprisingly is contracted to Nov '22.

| I'm fully expecting that Mr Hill will be granted and early rest by the disciplinary committee (I’d put my money on 2 games). Starting props for Saints game will be Cooper and Philbin with Akauola and Latu on the bench (together with Burrell and Walker). Johnson to make the 21 but miss out on the day.

That's too weak. We cannot expect to win with that line up.

I'm not expecting us to win, although I'm a lot more positive than I was a week ago. Hill may have his detractors but take him out of the picture a suddenly we don't look too clever.

| The key periods in Saints hames are the first 20 of the first half and the last 20 of the second which is when Walmsley & Thompson tend to be on the field together.
During those periods we need all our big units facing them up, and sufficient impact waiting to come on when they go off.
For that reason, I'd start with Cooper & Latu and have Philbin and Akuola off the bench. Young Walker looked really good off the bench v Wigan so I'd sacrifice Burrell and bring another forward onto the bench.

| I'm a tad concerned that BMM may also be summoned before the disciplinary pannel.

| Should have read the Hill thread before posting. Nothing to worry about on the BMM front.

It was on the back of the team sheet. Failing that, it is on the website................ oh hang on a minute, perhaps not.

They weren't key periods when Cooper taught them both a lesson in prop forward play at Wembley.
