Warrington have been dreadful so far.

Not the best preparation for a Cup Final.

Other than Wigan (and maybe Saints) fans, anyone else bored? Might switch over to the footy.

What an absolutely abysmal away following by the Warrington fans this evening. They’re second in the league and just over 10 miles apart from Wigan and that’s all they can muster. We took more than they did last Friday night being second bottom and it took well over 3 hours to get home due to motorway road closures.

As a neutral I am wondering why Wigan find it so easy to get numbers over on the wires left side? This game is never bad enough to make me watch Wendy ball.

I don't go to every single game due to other commitments, but it's rare that I just choose not to go when there's absolutely nothing stopping me. That's the case tonight though, no denying it. I'd accept an 18 point defeat at Wembley if offered it now too. As it stands we could be in line for something really embarrassing.

The first no try was probably the right call, but we've been had off with the second one.

You’d think Warrington had won 20-6 with the way the commentators were speaking. Wigan weren’t even good and still won with absolute ease. When Warrington win nothing, Price should be sacked. Poor team with an even worse coach.

Because those are the rules. I don’t agree with them and judging by your post neither do you but you can’t blame a ref or VR for applying them. The VR has to have conclusive evidence and be 100% to overturn the decision. It then becomes subjective, do I think it should have been a try. Yes. Can I see why it wasn’t allowed given the refs call. Yes as Patten’s ball carrying arm raises after touching the floor albeit slightly.

I thought the first Patten NT was the right call but then second was wrong. I also thought the obstruction given when French was in the clear was wrong too.

The 2nd no try seen at normal speed clearly shows Patton's momentum taking him over the line. Poor initial judgment from Thaler and spineless decision by the VR not to overrule him.

All in all, pretty shambolic from both.

We have to get rid of this "try" "no try" shambles don't union ask if there is any reason he can't give a try ? seems fairer to me. We can't go on with the referee guessing and the vr agreeing with the guess rightly or wrong.

That said its all rubbish on a no sky game that bevan french knock on try is given.

Although I kind of agree with you, if this isn't on tv the ref has to make the call.
Mind you, when the technology is there, every VR call should be 100% correct.

Maybe every call should go up as neutral and let the VR decide or have him pass it back to the ref if he is still unsure

The second decision is a perfect example of the ref guessing and his mate confirming his guess.
If you are not sure sending it upstairs without comment has got to be implemented for next season.

God we are Sh!te, we're getting Smashed next week then will limp out of the playoffs. At least i'll get to see a Wigan vs Saints Grand final, that should be a beast of a game

Have to love that tv exchange between Lam, Holbrook and Price. You wouldn’t get that say with Chester, Powell and Agar.
