After their comfortable victory over Toulouse yesterday, with a 42 - 14 victory, Toronto are now 6 points clear at the top and it looks like they can concentrate all their efforts on managing their squad for the final part of the season.
Things are starting to look straightforward for the Canadian side - no surprise really and the only obstacle is holding their nerve at the business end of the season.
I dont see anyone catching them and it will be all about whether they can win their grand final.

There is the prospect of them winning the league by 10 points and still not being guaranteed promotion.

St Helens are 6 points clear at the top of SL. There is the prospect of them topping the table by 10 points and still not winning SL.

Toronto's left centre Richard Leutele (formerly a regular NRL player at Cronulla) would walk into any Super League team, and Toronto's other centre Chase Stanley would get into many Super League sides. The same is true of Toronto's full back and many Toronto forwards, such as Darcy Lussick. Toronto's main weakness is in their halves.

Toulouse by contrast has two excellent Super League standard halves in Johnathon Ford and Stanislas Robin (Ford, ironically, was born in Toronto, Australia). The entire Toulouse backline, when at full strength, is definitely of Super League quality, but the team lacks Super League quality prop forwards.

Just a slight exaggeration there old boy.
If they had entered the Challenge Cup, we may have seen whether they are anything close to SL standard but, that's a whole new story and still remains a stupid decision by The RFL, absolutely stupid.
Had they made it into the 6th round, even our inept media department, may have managed some decent publicity out of it.

It will be far more "interesting" if/ when Ottowa and New York come into the mix, where we may and up with 15/20% of the full time pro clubs not competing in the blue riband cup competition.
