On a serious note it does reinforce the poor decision by Leeds to let Garbutt go. That total is from 7 games, all starting from the bench and works out as 158m per game. Letting that kind of yardage leave is ridiculous.

It did seem strange for Leeds to let him go has a opposite fan we thought that was your biggest weakness after JP when.

So assuming someone actually wants to talk about the stats it shows you that metre gains alone don't win you games.
Hurrell makes great yardage but if no one in the team can capitalise its ultimately wasted.

And Garbutt does a tremendous amount of work and gains great yards. He was outstanding against Wakefield and went a long way to keeping them in the game when they were struggling.
Leeds desperately need him but right now he's at the better club so a good decision in the end for him.

There seems to have been some off-field reasoning behind Garbutt leaving Leeds - fitness, attitude, who knows. Good luck to him anyway.

Funny if it was for fitness reasons given they then went and signed an overweight Lolohea. Crosby who has yet to play this season, offered new deals to Ablett who hasn’t played either and JJB who only has just returned and Stevie Ward will be retained no worries even though he only ever manages about 3/4 games before getting injured again.

The attitude rumour came from him allegedly putting his hand up and saying he wasn’t fit to play at the back end of last season due to a knee injury. Again funny because other players such as Delaney, JJB and others were always criticised by posters for putting their hand up to play when not fit and McDermott criticised for playing them....then when one player does what they suggest and not put their hand up to play injured then he has “an attitude problem”.
