Wigan's Jarrod Sammut is set to miss the start of the season after being given a two-match penalty notice for making contact with a referee in last Sunday's friendly at Salford.

Jake Connor has been handed a one-match penalty notice for using foul and abusive language to a match official, Hull FC say they will fight the charge.
Connor was sin-binned for dissent during his club's friendly at St Helens last weekend.
Without a doubt Connor is a very good player . However to be potentially facing a ban as a result of a charge of Grade B foul and abusive language towards a match official in a friendly , shows his flaw in the game .
He has the ilk of Ryan Bailey , likes to be portrayed as a bad boy , causes a ruckus then hides away behind the big lads , knowing his teammates will run in and have his back .
If he concentrates on his rugby he is a great asset for Hull FC , however he could also become a thorn in their side and cost them dearly .

Ridiculous. What did Taylor do?? Well, I know what incidents they are for but I saw nothing wrong at the game, watched it back when I got home and still nothing. I’d be a little upset if I was a Hull fan to be honest. Can’t comment too much on blue eyed Blake as the angles I’ve seen don’t really show too much.

Not sure why Taylor was cited , suprised Jake Connor wasn’t cited for throwing that punch when he was grounded over the line which connected , resulting in a melee.

I cannot find the minutes in which Taylor did the two offences. Was one the tackle on McShane in the second half ?

Must admit I didn't notice anything in the Hull Cas match re Taylor Getting 3 games seems totally out of the blue.Thiught Connor might get cited for punch and S Tomkins for same but not a peep? Austin,well it's pointless going over it. Just a lottery every Monday at RFL.

I didn't see anything wrong with Austin's tackle but he has a duty of care to the player he is tackling hence I understand why no further action was taken.

The Taylor ones are very harsh. 3 games!!?? I have seen the footage again of the one on Clark, but it is a textbook tackle, round the legs, as you are trained as a kid to do. The player hitting Clark's upper body is also entitled to make that hit. He gets his legs caught but that for me isn't a ban for the tackling player

Agreed and the same with the McShane one Taylor makes the initial tackle but it’s Tuimavave that pulls the leg. Christ even McShane in his post match interview said there was nothing in it.

Didn’t see too much in the Taylor incidents to be honest.
I have two issues with the disciplinary system.
1. Every time a suspension is handed down, that’s one incident where there referee has missed a red card. It’s reasonable to assume that if the foul play warrants a suspension of one whole game or more, then it was worth of being sent of for part of a game and the referee missed it. Given the number of suspensions we see on a weekly basis, that’s an awful lot of serious foul play that our on-field officials are missing completely or getting wrong.
2. The current system doesn’t offer fair recompense to the team who suffer from foul play. Let’s take Taylor’s suspension as an example (whether or not it is fair). Castleford have lost a player during the game itself and for a number of weeks as a result of what the panel have deemed to be serious foul play, yet the beneficiaries of Taylor’s suspension will be other teams. Of course, there’s the argument that Castleford might benefit from other players being suspended from previous games too, but it’s no way to run a professional sport when this happens on such a regular basis. I’d like to see one game of each suspension carried over until that player is due to face the team he committed the foul play against. So if a three match ban was handed down, two would be served immediately and one would be served the next time the player is due to play the team he committed the offence against.

Ah, but along with the suspension, the fine is welcome money for rfl.

I cannot find any information on either confirming what the offence(s) were for and what minute(s) they were committed.
