Stuffed by a team of part timers who were in league 1 last year. It’s not looking good for the pre season 3rd favourites in the championship. Is it the Cunningham effect that has them playing so poorly? It’s easy to say “it’s only early doors, they will come good” but it’s not that easy once you are in a rut. I think there is a real possibility they could end up in League 1

It is not out of the question. However despite the dead hand of Keiron Cunningham on the team I predict that lowly Leigh will still make the top 8 of the Championship, and be in the running, with Halifax, for the Championship shield at the same time when lovable London, terrific Toulouse, tremendous Toronto and frivolous Featherstone are challenging in the Middle 8s.

Hope so. Their fans might finally shut up.

I wouldn't put to much money on this group of middle aged fat blokes. London took them apart today in every area of the game. London didn't bother in the second half it was such a stroll in the park.

Leigh can't beat a 12 man Toulouse side at Leigh. Leigh is looking more and more like a League One candidate.

Leigh v Fev, Fax and then Dewsbury are looking like a key ties now.....Leigh can't afford to let London and others get too far ahead of them!
London have Sheffield, Batley and Swinton next arguably 6 points on current form
Toulouse have Rochdale, Dewsbury and Halifax and I see them getting 4 from 6
Toronto have swinton, Sheffield and Rochdale.......6 from 6 here

If Leigh don't win all 3 then I see them struggling to get into the Qualifiers

March 30th could potentially be our third top of the table clash this season.


16 wins is normally the target to get into the Qualifiers but I can see maybe as many as 17 being needed this year, with teams knocking each other off....Rochdale, Swinton and Sheffield aside, there are 9 pretty well matched sides there......Leigh are like a wounded animal and he part timers will raise their game against them!....If they do indeed need 17 wins, then they really do need a change of luck/coach and they need it now because 2 more losses and they are in trouble!

After today's result, It was obvious what kind of response we were going to get, and rightly so. We are embarrassed, and there is no where to hide. Apart from the coaches being totally out of their depth,I ask myself, what do we do from here? I really really don't know.

I must also add that Toulouse should be commended and applauded for their effort today.
