| Surprised there isn't a thread on this so far so here goes:
Saints
Hull FC
Leeds
Castleford
Wigan
Warrington
Wakefield
Hull KR
Huddersfield
Catalan
Salford
Widnes
GF winners: Leeds (again)
Challenge Cup winners: Saints
Could be the closest league for years with 4/5 clubs capable of top spot
Salford without Koucash may have real problems and with an unknown KR back in the fray and Catalan under McNamara who knows who will finish where ?

I think we would be very fortunate to not end up in the middle 8s again.

Indeed, although I do think that you will be above Widnes and Salford.
As usual, there wont be too much between 5th & 10th and all clubs need to avoid long term injuries to key players, none more so than yourselves.
You may get really lucky and find that there isnt a middle 8's to be in (assuming there is some expansion of the top flight.

I think Leeds' season will be how well the middle core gels. There's no doubting the strength in depth but there's a new halfback, two youngsters playing for the full back shirt and a new support hooker in Dwyer. That's a lot of new / young talent in key positions.

| Prediction for after 23 rounds
1. Saint Helens
2. Hull FC
3. Leeds
4. Castleford
-----------------------
5. Wakefield
6. Warrington
7. Catalans
8. Huddersfield
-----------------------
9. Wigan
10. Salford
11. Hull KR
12. Widnes
I think Saints will have a very solid year. Hull FC will want to push for different Silverware but I'm sure will also be looking for the third successive Challenge Cup. Leeds and Castleford will both do well and will continue to push for trophies.
Wakefield will again be pushing the leading pack to the end of the season but could fall short in the league though I think they might aim for a good cup run. Warrington will go well, but will take some time to bond which may set them back at the start. Catalans and Huddersfield both have solid squads and should be able to compete, they both look a bit weaker in the squad players though so will struggle if the injuries start mounting.
Wigan have just let two of their better players go and haven't really signed anyone to compensate for the average season last year, they seem to have stagnated a bit and need fresh ideas. Salford still have the making of a good squad but have lost a bit of quality which will likely see them struggle towards the back half of the season. Hull KR have retained most of the squad that saw them through their year in exile in the championship but only scraped wins against other championship clubs which the super league opposition easily beat, I expect them to do well at home but struggle away. Choosing Widnes for the bottom is perhaps a bit of a cop out as they've struggled for a couple of years, they've got some decent youth coming through though and I expect that they will do better in 2019 than in the coming season as the youngsters get more game time.

| Interesting how many people are tipping Saints, considering we've made no major signings, and are still essentially the team which performed so badly in much of last season, and was still getting beaten in the Super 8s, despite the "recovery".
I think Wigan are unpredictable. Sarginson is returning under a cloud and neither Tomkins nor Burgess who came before him on that path have found their previous form. And losing McIlorum must be an enormous blow to their on-field organisation.

I think Saints might be one of those of teams that are very consistent but can't find that extra level in a big do or die game. I fancy them to finish top but not make either final.

Really tough to predict though. I am fairly confident that the bottom three will be correct (not necessarily that order) and I am equally confident Saints and Hull will make the top 4. The rest is anyones guess really. Can Cas back up last years remarkable season without, imo, their most important player? Can Leeds cope with the loss of a couple of club legends better than they did last time? Warrington will improve, but how much will they improve? Will Wigan avoid another injury crisis? Actually, add that to the list of things I'm confident about. They will have used approx. 73 players by mid April.
My dark horse is Huddersfield. There was a lot to like about the back end of their season. If Brough can avoid the petulance and prove he still has it then they might just make a playoff charge.

You got it monumentally wrong with Wakefield last year. Based on that I expect us to do the double this year

Reckon Salford will struggle massively and will go down. A massive shame but the opportunity was squandered a while ago and I don’t see how the club can recover.
Think Toronto will replace Salford.
