Quite harsh on Ireland that they drop three places in the rankings despite a good WC showing. Shows how daft these ranking systems can be at times.

I understand the rankings are done over 5 years and that essentially whoever wins the Eng v NZ test next year will end up 2nd.

Beating Lebanon, France, PNG and New Zealand B....sorry, Tonga isn't enough...over the last 5 years England are 0-5 v the Aussies and 2-4 v the Kiwis.....beat them in next years series and you'll be #2.
I've seen Ireland in soccer beat England in Stuttgart88.......Italy at USA94 and neither time did I expect us to be ranked above England or Italy......Rankings are over a few years, not 4 weeks!

Match days 17's were made up of 2 Aussies, 2 Tongans and 30 Kiwis, so pretty much, Yeah!

I can understand NZ been ahead of us and that it's over 4 yrs but how on earth can the likes of Hungary be ahead of the Cook Islands it's ridiculous

They have probably not won a game since they beat Wales in 2013. They usually only play against the likes of Fiji and Samoa so probably get hammered most of the time.

Is there a site where all the fixtures for International RL in 2018 are available?

Even so I'd say the next ten teams in front of them will have hardly played an international between them and I would say the Cook Islands would hammer everyone of them

I just checked and Hungary have played five matches in 2017, winning two. The Cook Islands probably would hammer them but that's not how rankings work as you know. South Africa would probably beat the majority of European nations ranked above them but they're down in 35th due to barely ever playing any international matches.

South Africa need to be included in any European type competitions. Regular games v Ireland, Scotland, Wales and even France. They have a strong domestic set up and are deserving of as much help as we can give them.
