Leigh are building up their playing roster of mediocrities and worse, in order to justify themselves staying in the Championship for the foreseeable future.

I believe this thread was created to be ironic or at least a mickey take of the Larne Patrick thread.

I feel Leigh are signing players at the right side of 30 compared to years gone by. They will be knocking on the door next year and if there's any super league clubs found wanting (which there has been since the new structure was established), Leigh will be there or there abouts.

What a refreshing change. Salford, catalans, HKR and Widnes will be going hell for leather to avoid the middle 8s next year.

Only a 12 month deal, he did well at Widnes. If he ain't up to it though, he won't get selected......simple.

He seemed to do well at Widnes but didn't really make it at Saints, he always seemed to be a little off the game plan to me, I feel Leigh is probably his level to be honest. Certainly at the moment.

correct. Widnes released him. Keiron Cunningham couldn't believe his luck and snapped him up.

In other news, Jonah Cunningham has joined Leigh today on a season long loan.

Not one player over 30 signed up so far for next season. I expect that number to change in the next 2 weeks when players from last season who havn't committed will realise that no one in SL wants them !

Bodene Thompson announced at 5pm, a very strong squad being assembled - especially the 3 non feds.

Derek Beaumont stated in his 'League Express' interview, that he offered 2 players from this season a NEW contract for 2018/19, with the same salary as 2017. They both declined the offer. I'm guessing one is Lachlan Burr, not sure who the other might be.....Gareth Hock ???
