| Saints will on Monday. We will rest a few of our players for sure including Webster who is one of our best at the moment.
Next 2 games will be telling for sure. Saints and Hull both away. If we can come through the first half of the games with 9/10wins from 11 that will be great. Even 2 losses and 8 from 11 will be good especially when we have played Warrington, Salford, Wigan, Saints, Hull and widnes away from home.

Webster was great today but he was running on empty at the end. With Shenton & Monaghan doubts for Monday is it worth recalling one of the lads on loan from Oldham?

Didn't Powell say Shenton (along with Cook & Massey) will be back on Monday?

| There are two logical options for me:
Bring in Foster for me. No need to recall two lads at Oldham. Eden-Shenton-Foster-Minikin.
Or you play the team we had today towards the end - Eden-Shenton-Minikin-Hardaker with Roberts at FB and Chase at 6.

| Let's be honest, nobody outside the deluded wakey forum expected anything but what happened. Superior coaches, tactics, players and fans gave them no chance....... iv been reading on FB that 5/6 players of there's would make our 17 when in actual fact the only player that MIGHT get a game is TJ who got well and truely looked after. Onwards and upwards to a MUCH more difficult Saints game !!!

Was the superior tactic to constantly go for head high shots to try and get Wakey players off for head knocks because that's what gifted Cas their first two tries, then some poor ref decisions and sloppy Wakey defence gave them a couple more, before the ref pulled a peach of a decision to call for "downtown" when nobody had kicked a ball which gifted Cas their only try of the second half.

| To be fair I don't think you can read much into the game as we only played for 50 minutes...... pretty much like the friendly but we didn't put our under 9's out in the second half this time.

| Cas are turning into the new Wigan with their dirty tactics. Constant tip tackles, late hits, and head high shots, then constant interference at the PTB and spending more time in the refs es than Brough. They've certainly lost that Classy title

If you've got to break the rules to win then that's a sad state to be in. If you're happy supporting a team who play dirty then carry on and enjoy yourself, but it certainly ain't classy Cas anymore

Not the only reasons but it certainly played a large part in it. 2 Cas tries came off the back of sending a Wakey player to the stands from a high tackle as they didn't have a centre to cover, and another two came off dubious penalty calls and a blatant obstruction which wasn't given. The try on the back of the 40/20 was brilliant though. The cas try in the second half also came off the back of an atrocious referee decision where he awarded a downtown penalty agaisnt Wakefield when the ball hadn't even been kicked. Cas certainly deserved the win as Wakey lookedlost in defence when the decisions went against them , but the scoreline flattered castleford and it certainly wasn't classy

Go gently on the deluded wakey fan,you can understand the bitterness from a few of them when in recent weeks phrases of "this is the best squad we've had in superl league for years" just got a 40+ score on them by a cas side that wasn't clicking.

| Im sorry E.B but the Tupuo incident in the first few minutes was accidental. He was slipping into the tackler who was already committed. As for your other comments it smacks as sour grapes as you and some others on your forum really fancied your chances on Friday.

| Over the last 6 meetings between the two sides we've put 40+ on Wakey.
That must hurt.

| Egg Banjo. Perhaps listen to what Chris Chester says in his post match interview...where he says Cas were too quick, couldn't handle Junior Moors, called us Classy Cas, stated that Topou and Arundel were on for most of the first 40 where the damage was done , blamed his side for poor last tackle options and kicking out on the full....overall he was gracious and accurate.

And he was right; Cas have outplayed much better teams than Wakey this season and barring some kind of Wigan-esque injury crisis, will continue to do so. They were superior in every dept yesterday and thoroughly deserved the win.
FWIW - I don't see Cas doing anything especially grubby or dubious; they're tough and physical and have some wily campaigners who'll take every advantage they can - but they're no Wigan.
It's less easy to be gracious in defeat when opposition fans are not gracious in victory - but I'll do it anyway, because I like to occupy the moral high ground.

| I just thought Cas played the game intelligently and Roberts in particular was putting people in gaps all over the place.
The second quarter when Cas went off on one was when the game was lost, couldnt handle the strong running and footwork of the Cas forwards.
That said, I'm not too disappointed - thought we could have got closer than that but in reality, this Cas team is head and shoulders better than us atm. Thought we did well to win the 2nd half and could have got closer still but a few 50/50 calls against at crucial times meant it wasn't to be.
Oh well, Wigan next!

Do you think Chester got it wrong with Finn not either starting or coming on earlier ? Credit to Wakefield for showing grit in the second half, they could quite easily have capitulated ala Leeds , Huddersfield at Cas this season but they played with a decent structure in the second half, again when Finn was on . There is a thread on the Trin board if it ain't broke don't fix it, so that's why I was surprised to see Finn on the bench for so long because i think he has been quality in the last 3 weeks or so. The bar steward also killed my bet of handicap tie with a touchline conversion
