It is always sad when a member or moderator of RLFANS passes away, there have been a few over the years but none as long standing or as involved as Graeme Akers, we would like to send Julie and family all our condolences at this very sad time.

[i"It’s with the heaviest heart in the world that I have the job of letting you all know that 14 months after his 6-9 month cancer diagnosis Graeme passed away peacefully last night.
RLFans brought him into my life and for that I’ll always be grateful. Many people here were a big part of our lives and I have many treasured memories of meet ups, drunk nights in the Cabbage Patch, and one particularly nightmare trip on a London Broncos/Harlequins coach trip to Leeds that resulted in a coach load watching the match on tv in a service station bookies.
No matter if you loved him or loathed him thank you for your part in his/our journey over the years.

| Tata Graeme. A top man. And a massive contributor to RL through here and the London Broncos.

| Very sad to hear.
He was a major player on this forum when I first joined in 2005.
That's when there were some great discussions and disagreements and the Sin Bin was the place to be.
Times change and nothing and nobody is permanent.
I can remember a lot about Big Graeme although I never knew him personally.
