Truly truly awful. As bad as Wire v Hull a few months ago.

Why on Earth is a rugby league club watering the pitch at all, but even on a day when there's been rain already? What's going on there?

Has the ball been on the floor more in this game, or the Olympic hockey final?

Its related to football pitches having shorter grass. Do it at the KCom as well.

A shocking game between 3rd and 4th placed sides maybe yet, you along with us, are in the middle 8's fighting for SL survival. I know which one I'd prefer.

True enough, I dream of being in the position of watching a side as successful as Wigan or St's.

But if you leave your club bubble for a minute, as a game between two of the best teams in S.L. it was a low quality game (compared to past seasons) wouldn't you agree?

was really looking forward to this game. local derby, fighting for a sf spot and both sides with a week off next week.

Yes, how does Huddersfield and Hull KR playing in the middle 8 qualifiers affect my opinion on whether i thought Wigan V Saints was a poor game, please do enlighten me.

It was an awful quality game and not for the first time this season a "big game" has been nothing but poor quality riddled with errors.

The "big game" Wigan v Saints was one of the the worse games this season for handling errors seemed like a bar of soap in the shape of a rugby ball. It had been raining all day at the DW stadium yet I believe they still watered the pitch for some reason.

This expectation that games between top teams should always be wonderful flowing rugby is utter nonsense. Why should they?
Is it not possible that circumstances decree it just won't be, like cancelling each other out, trying too hard, not trying to lose/tactical influences, weather influences, physical/mental fatigue setting in at the back end of the season.
How many times do you witness two top teams play each other in any sport you care to name and sometimes it's a damp squib...a lot is the answer.
There have been some awesome games this year, saying it's the worst season ever and similar bollox happens every season.
