FC pretty poor in the first half but Wigan's defence has been superb.

For all the discussion about Wigan's 'style' I don't think anyone can deny that on their day they have the best defence in the league and they're showing it so far.

Pretty evenly matched. The difference, in the halfbacks, Williams came up with something. For Hull I've not seen much of Tuimavave at HB previously but he's not impressed me tonight so far (cue him doing something good in the 2nd half)

Batley don't have to travel 90 miles across the M62 on a Friday night for home games though. 2000 away fans as it is essentially is pretty good going. I'm not there as I couldn't get the day off work and didn't finish until half 6.

Were I a wigan fan, I'd be pretty pleased with that half. Were I a hull fan I'd be disappointed.

I think that's the cleanest I've seen Wigan play this year. Some good hits without any malice or cheap shots.

Hull look like a teaspoon trying to pierce the lid of a microwave meal. George Williams has the potential to be the best halfback we have produced for quite a while.

Good hard, honest game, Wigan lost a bit of composure at times on the final plays, Hull looked fairly solid throughout and the scoreline reflected the game.

Hull deserving winners but it was pretty close, I'd say Wigan actually defended better. Hull were conservative a bit first half and then came out with a 'nothing to lose' attitude 2nd and it got them a couple of tries. After the Fonua injury and delay though they went back into their shell slightly and it didn't help them. Wigan in attack though.....apart from Williams there just isn't anything really. Granted your HB should be the main focal point but they can't expect him to do it all by himself.

That was a proper semi, competitive all the way through. Hull were good for the win as they were a bit better with their execution when it mattered. I think Wigan flattered to deceive at times.

Hull just shaded i and deserved their win.
Not a classic but, with the scores so tight and the result in doubt till the final hooter an enjoyable game.
We just need a Trinity win now (for an all Yorkshire final)
