That's been pretty much my experience discussing it.

Both sides are trying to shut the other up. Their supporters are, at least.

Democracy has ended, but not in any way related to the EU. We're so far down the rabbit hole of the culture war at this point that there is no possibility of rational debate. We coddle ourselves with our selective realities and then completely lose it when an alternative one swings into view.

For all those that want to leave the EU, you do realise it will have no bearing what so ever on the immigrant issue. After all, thats the only reason you want us to leave isnt it.

Anyone who thinks we, and in particular our children will be better off leaving is an imbelicle who relys on what facebook memes and Britain First tell us.

What facts might these be? If it is ANYTHING about the state of the economy, trade, interest rates, taxes, immigration among other things after Thursday (whichever way it goes) then I am afraid you have been duped. My list of priorities (in order) are:
Ridding ourselves of a layer of government that is just not necessary & is incredibly expensive, cumbersome, undemocratic & inefficient
Not having to have any of our laws ratified by European "others"
Not having to pay substantial sums into a "club", for which we get very little return (for how much we pay in)

The EU these days are no more than a political eurovision song contest with only brussels allowed to vote.

I've never voted tory in my life, yet here I am having their rules and laws imposed on me because roughly 1 of 5 people in the uk voted for them.

To me that's almost as undemocratic as the unelected EU president. At least the EU stands for things I believe in. Workers rights, that sort of thing.

I am deeply concerned that if we [iRemain[/i then [iBrussels [/i will allow literally hundreds of foreigners from far flung cesspit's of the World such as Platt Bridge, Ince & Scholes to cross the borders to watch quality RL at a reduced rate, instead of sticking to that SL chaff that we don't bother with.
