| Can't find a thread for this? Not even a GAME ON one.
Weird game so far, but of skill being shown but so many errors, there's a lot of pressure and squeezing of the ball and Leon Pryce isn't even playing

| Sorry Super League, I'm embarrassed us two teams dished up that truly dreadful game which was billed as a top of the table clash. You'll see better performances by Staningly or Stanley Rangers this weekend.
Apparently Wayne Bennett was there, I think he'll be scratching his head after it.
I think it would be fair if Hull were docked two points and Wire docked four after that!

I ended up flicking in between the France, Euro 2016 game and this, i probably enjoyed the football more!
What a dreadful game between the supposedly best 2 teams in our flagship competition.
I'm sure Hull won't be bothered, but if there were any neutrals "enjoying" RL for the first time i doubt they'll be back, woeful stuff from both sides.

Ridiculous thing to say, only RL fans would think that, how about when two top soccer teams play out a dull match, does the same apply? Test cricket is boring as anything and yet people still go, how about plenty of other sports where the skill level or entertainment wasn't great. There have been plenty of great games this year as there have every year.
Two teams not wanting to lose, both under pressure and conditions not the best, it was on the cards to be a torrid affair and not for the first time in a big 1v2 match.

Agreed. Would rather watch a poor game of RL than a good game of football.
Talking of which....anyone else ready for 0-0 tomorrow?

| As a hull fan couldn't care what our peformance was like tonight. All I wanted was 2 points in any fashion. Look at the other results tonight, the weather conditions played a big part in all 3 games I would pressure. Wet ball/pitch and humidity in the air was never going to allow a classic game

| I agree the quality wasn't what it could have been but at no point did I even consider switching over to the football. I did enjoy the conspiracy theory about the ball though.

| If the conditions were anything like they were at Leeds then I'm not surprised there were plenty of knock ons.
Hot/humid weather combined with a wet and greasy surface. Horrendous to play RL in those conditions.

| I still like football, although I care about the rugby more these days. And in what was apparently a pretty poor sporting evening all round, I've at least seen in the highlights a couple of moments of quality from Sam Tomkins for Wigan and Payet for France. The pleasures, if any, of Wire v Hull will have to wait for the Superleague Show.

| I thought it was a good hard game where defences were on top and what I would expect of 2 top four sides
Most of the handling errors were caused by the tackling technique of both teams.
It may not be as entertaining for the neutral as the previous nights game between Widnes and Cas, the teams lower down the table have poorer defences therefore the games are high scoring.

| I though they were quite a few knock ons for both teams that could have been penalties, but to be fair Child's was consistent in his approach and that's all you can ask for.

I've seen far FAR better games that ended 6-4 than last night's game. I've seen better ball handling in far worse conditions. I've seen better defence (winning try efforts from Cark and Westerman) at a school game.

I think you counted wrong.
There were more lads born in Hull than born overseas last night.

| Michaeals, Fonua, Talanoa, Tuimavave ,Minichello, Manu, Pritchard, i make it 7, not ideal at all, but to be fair as Mr.Zucchini Head pointed out they did also have plenty of lads that have come through their system or, at least born in Hull.

| We do have more overseas players than most teams but at least they are all quality players and not average journeymen. I don't particularly mind where they come from so long as they are exciting to watch and taking us top of the league.

I dont think you will win any prizes for predicting Hill and Wire finishing top 4.
There isn't a bookies on the planet that will take that bet now.
Hull do now appear to be "the real deal" and as a supporter of a club that wont finish top 4, I think it would be great for the sport if FC could win either the LLS or GF.

I'd like to be able to boast a full team of academy products too, but I don't think 7 is excessive really.
Besides, when you are talking about developing players for the good of the national team it should be about quality over quantity imo. Some teams have more English players in their team, but they are filler that don't have a hope in hell of representing their country. There are at least 5 players in that team that are in the England reckoning now, and they've all got their best years ahead of them.

Indeed. Michaels is maybe the only one who you would say can be adequately replaced by a homegrown player (indeed him and Naughton have battled over the right wing spot all year). The rest are very good players indeed.
Incidentally, I'm not sure whose idea it was to sign him, but Fetuli Talanoa has to be one of the best bits of scouting in a long time. He was playing part time RU and working as a bin man when we signed him ffs. These days I reckon (biased as I am) he's probably in the top 5 for wingers in SL.

| Saw a video of the fans fighting. No place for it, heavy bans should be handed out and the clubs should be fined for failing to control their fans.
