This is worth a look for any Wakefield and Wigan fans in particular, but any of you that love great rugby league.
Golden tries from Panasonic Cup 1984 (midweek competition). Some classic commentary from Ray Warren who called this competition. He was a much better commentator prior to his current 1990s Channel 9 Australia stint which is on-going.
Wally Lewis, Brett Kenny, Steve Ella in fine fettle.

If this is of any interest let me know and I will add more over time. The aim would be to try and include rare stuff that most rugby league fans won't have come across in standard DVDs on the game. For instance in Australian football, I won't include (much) Grand Final stuff or famous tries like say Eric Grothe's 1983 sem-final try as most will be familiar with it. Same with English stuff - imagine the field has been covered to an extent? New Zealand and France less so.

The great example of British fans at the 2nd test in Wigan 1982 comes to mind - when a long period of clapping followed an extended 14 man handling burst from the Kangaroos despite the fact it no doubt cut the heart out of those present.

He was quite the player. His try against Australia at Lang Park in 1988 was beautiful to watch. He had a rawness about his football early on that diminished and was replaced by the grand aura he portrayed by say 1994 and the time of his Wembley pearler. We were blessed that his career overlapped with that of Steve Renouf so we could see such gifted runners at the same time. ET too.

OK. Three great tries on this (in fact more but they are of most interest I think).
1. Only a bit (the end) of a great Cronulla try at 30 secs in.
2. The highlight - an absolute gem from Joe Lydon that is not very well known at all. It is as good as either of his Challenge Cup Final 1984 double tries for sheer class and footwork. Enjoy that one at 53 secs in.
3. 1:40 secs great work from Dale Shearer off his line.
