| Some nice play from Huddersfield so far, real shame they don't have twice the fan base they deserve.

| Just watched the game this morning... surely McGillvary has to be seriously considered for England, and I don't just mean to make up the numbers .

| he's doing well isn't he?
in fact he's an absolute beast at the moment and if players were picked for their country regardless of club colours he would have been a certainty for the last 2 years at least

| On form, and I mean all round game not amount of tries scored(although he's nailing that one too) there isn't a winger to touch him at the moment ... No one can seem to stop him !! I am confident he would give the kiwis no amount of trouble, the guy is an absolute machine !!!

Has to be in the Squad. I'd have him straight in the team on the right wing.

Still think Hall and Briscoe are a class above, great winger though and should be in the squad and the back up to these two.

| Leeds fans I speak to say hall hasn't had anything like the impact he usually has ... If there is someone playing better than a guy who has played for x amount of years they should be in on merit not past reputation

| I don't know why Paul Anderson is so negative all the time in his post-match comments. I thought it was an entertaining game with some great tries and yet he seems all too eager to run the sport down.

| McGillvary looked unstoppable last night, having his best season and would love to see him in the England squad, would be justified with how he's playing at the moment.

I think that this is his management style.
He's like a hard to impress teacher but, when something goes to plan, he does acknowledge the fact.
I guess it's the method he uses to try and keep his players motivated and tbf, it's working pretty well for them.
Huddersfield are now certain to be top 4 and could well finish 3rd, prior to the semi's.

I'd have him in ahead of Briscoe. Though that cup final performance may nail TB's place down for many.

Same as the FB situation with Hardaker and Tomkins. The form players should play. Hall hasn't had a vintage year by his standards but not sure Burgess at Wigan has done enough to displace him.

I don't think Hall's impact has changed, but the role he plays has.
Hall isn't scoring those spectacular corner-post finishes that he used to, but I'd say that's largely down to how he is used in the Leeds team.
Firstly, he has spent the last two years playing outside a centre who is a both a very confident ball player and finisher. Joel Moon is much more likely to 'go it alone' than Carl Ablett used to - who Hall regularly played outside prior to that.
The other aspect is that Leeds now rely much less on their left hand side than before. The right hand side has historically been weaker prior to Watkins emerging, so most Leeds attacks were focused on the left.
Look at his stats and figures such as metres, metres per carry and breaks are all solid, and he is still an excellent finisher.

The test comes when they hit the knock out stage. That's where it's fallen apart in the past.

Agree but only if he is teamed with his club centre Cudgoe.

| Jerry has been doing what he's doing now for years but just goes unnoticed doing it, but he is on fire at the moment and i expect him to break the line every time he carries the ball, from either a standing or a running start, and you can't say that about any other winger at the moment.
as for the test, then yes i agree, to me, we have punched above our weight in recent seasons, when you compare, especially, financially, that are we competing with Wigan, Leeds, Warrington and saints.
but at some point we have to go that next step, which is getting through the play offs and getting to the grand final, then who knows we may be able to attract a few thousand glory fans through the gates to enable us to compete for longer at the top?
i don't know what is the harder challenge for us, getting to the grand final or increasing the crowds, we have failed on both counts recently!

| I've been a huge McGillvary fan for a few years. I've not seen that much of him this year but his defence has always been his down fall, pretty poor. For that reason I'd have him behind Hall, Briscoe & possibly Burgess.

| apart from the first game between us and cas when he completely destroyed carney you mean?
like all wingers, his defence could be better, but do we pick wingers based on their defence for the national team?

He was right though- giants played some good stuff and some awful stuff. For the best defence in the competition they conceded soft points- he won't be happy with that and nor should he be.
