Pretty decent game so far but the all conquering Leigh struggling against the super league whipping boys
As has been alluded to on commentary Leigh aren't used to not having things their own way and being put under pressure
Could become a cracker if Leigh score first in 2nd half

Leigh's arrogance in recent times has lulled them into thinking they are a far better team than they actually are. Most people had Leigh as favourites in this game....god knows why. Hope Wakey get 50.

Leigh using shoddy tactics to try and rile Wakefield up, obviously used to walking all over smaller packs in the lower leagues. They're used to running in tries for fun and I think they expected the same today.

Says a lot about how this Super 8's competition is going to go if Leigh (out and out the best team in the lower leagues, by far) can't beat the current wooden spoons.

Said on the Wakefield board I expect them to win by 20 Leigh are average at best saying that the game needs them to score first in the second half

As a Bulls fan I was hoping this would be more competitive. I suppose it still could be but it will need a much better performance from Leigh in the second half.
I'm not fussed who wins, but if this ends up a blowout score it doesn't exactly bode well for the super 8s come the end of the season.

Tbh I thought Leigh were SL standard.

But when we played Dewsbury on Friday, who are 5th in the Championship, and saw how soft their defence was I realised Leigh are just better than the rest of the Championship, not necessarily SL standard.

But watching this, what does it say about Salford?

Do think Leigh have come into this a bit over confident. 47% completion rate is awful. If they actually tried laying a platform instead of throwing it around every time they get the ball like they're handling a hand grenade then they might've troubled Wakefield.

that's the problem though i think with leigh, in the championship they can get away with throwing the ball around and scoring against part time players, but as has proven so far, against full time players, albeit the worst side in super league it's a different level to what they are used to, they have found out that you need to have some kind of structure rather than just chuck it around and then the gaps will open

to be fair though wakey have played pretty well, their fans can be rightly proud of that first half, they look a decent side at times, maybe this will give them sone confidence to try and get out of the bottom 4?

Leigh's discipline / attitude is woeful.

I'd be annoyed if I was a Wakey fan, they've given up and don't even look bothered.

But poor teams but I've still enjoyed this game. Bit scrappy at times but a close cup tie and that's all I wanted.

Leigh were awful in the first half but as soon as Leigh got a roll in Wakefield surrendered

Look what happens when they run a few sets and focus on completion. Good on you Leigh, still think you're a bit flaky but I'll take a Wakey defeat any day.
