Anybody catch this on Premier Sports last night?

Much better than the old Sky version. Dave Woods presented and facilitated the conversation really well, and the conversation seemed to flow. It was all relevant, no stupid ideas and lots of talk about the whole game in general. Schoey was opinionated and dominated the conversations at times, but his input was great.

A job well done, looking forward to more of the same.

Thought this was going to be a thread about another game where the players are gobbing it to the point where the are almost threatening the ref !!

Im not sure if I was impressed because it was actually that good or because I was comparing it to Skys obsession with over analysing every 50/50 call by the referee, looking for controversy and the inane ramblings of the chuckle brothers.

Schofield 100% correct with his concerns about the lack of half back talent in the modern game. He can be just a little annoying but a lot of what he says is true. I get the impression he isnt a fan of McNamara as a coach.

An hour about right - its good they are discussing the NRL with that channels live coverage and the British presence in Aus. Seriously considering cancelling sky. Icing on the cake would be Premier either getting the rights to Super League or going back to showing Championship rugby (how about live 5pm Sundays for example). Then I could get a good nights sleep knowing that none of my tv subscriptions are funding the grotesque wages in football.

Is Danny Lockwood on it? if so I'll be giving it a wide birth I'm afraid.

It would indeed be great if PS got Superleague rights. Won't be happening anytime soon, though, sadly.

I've never bothered with Sky. I don't want to to give my money to Murdoch, there's enough football on terrestrial TV for me, and, push comes to shove, 'alternative means' are usually available for watching the odd Superleague game.

If PS got exclusive SL rights it would be the final turn on the road to nowhere for the sport.

and that's me talking as a PS subscriber. There were some cracking games shown in the 4N and World cup on that channel, but one man and his dog got to see them.
