Post match comment on here has largely been restricted to the negative - ie the sending off incident.

What about the positives? For me:

1. That the league champions beat the runners up - which is how it should be.
2. That Saints despite a weakened team put in some controlled, aggressive defence to beat a team that looked more dangerous
3. There was a good sized crowd and good interest in the game.
4. That 3 of the 34 players (nearly 10%) started with London - which considering these were the two top teams of the year is pretty impressive.

Wigan lost.

17/34 playing came through the saints/ wigan academy

The event itself was excellent I thought, felt like the biggest deal of all the grand finals I've been to despite me expecting us to take a beating at kick off.

Build up, entertainment, flags etc all worked really well.

James were excellent. The whole event was very good tbh. Can't fault the organisation

It was good to see an increase on the crowd figure compared to last years game.

It didn't rain

Made the national and international media head stories.

Proves that people love the biff.
