Between Chris Hill and Jamie Peacock for me. Think or Peacock will win it.
Clark will walk young player of year, baffled by other two nominees though.

Sarginson is a bad enough selection, but Sutcliffe? Really? There's at least a dozen youngsters that have stood out more.
I was expecting Clarke, Burgess and either Escare or Shaul to be on that list.

| What's the age limit for the young player, as both Escare and Shaul are 22?
Can't believe Clark is only 21.
Burgess should be in.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. It's voted for by the players.

| When I think of Man Of Steel I think of a play who leads by example when the going gets tough, Peacock or Roby for me.
Clark young player of the year but Burgess could have been a good choice as well?!?
Don't they do short lists for coach of the year or are they just going to give it to Daryl Powell

Tbf Chris Hill typifies that just as much as the other two, and unlike Peacock he doesn't go whinging to the ref and media whenever he doesn't like something.
That said however I would give it to Peacock. I'm not the chairman of his fan club by any means but he has been and still is a cracking prop who has carried Leeds' pack for years now. I know this award is supposed to be just for this season, but it would be a shame if he retired without ever winning it.

JP has won the award once in the early 2000's with the Bulls.
Any of the nominees would be worthy winners this year TBH.

| I think Clarke will walk young player of the year.
Should it not be rookie of the year though? Someone who has pushed through into their first year in SL?
Just an idea for going forwards.
Also why not have prop of the year, winger of the year, etc.
We need to expand the awards, players want wider recognition, but we need to help ourselves. Also difficult to compare a winger to a hooker and prop etc.
A winger can have a storming year, but will hardly touch a hooker on the OPTA stats. Given all the tackling that is done down the middle of the park.
I know the dream team kind of does this but I think it's had it's day I know peacock and clarke were in the dream team but could not name the rest without looking. Where as winger of the year gives a more individual accolade to the player and boosts them up rather than being a member of a fictional team.

Players have to be under 21 years of age at the start of the season to be considered for the Young Player of the Year award. Escare turns 23 in October, as for MOS you're having a laugh but I knew that.

Except it isn't, he couldn't be selected for young player because of his age and if you seriously think he's worthy of MOS than I suggest you go for a mental health asessment.
