| Ive always thought of rugby aways cheap but huddersfield was charging £24 which for a club who struggle for crowds was ridiculous is super league prices going up when the crowds seem to be dropping everywhere

| If you put the prices down you might get better crowds, but if not then you're getting less income. However, if you put prices up, you might get a spike in your income, but you risk people being priced out of coming to your ground.

| a hull fan complaining about ticket prices? surely not.
and i agree that the prices are too high now, which could explain the falling attendances?

I got an email from Leeds stating
" Discounted tickets and travel are now on sale for the Leeds Rhinos away match against Hull FC at The KC Stadium this Friday 12th September, kick off 8pm. The tickets are for the North Stand, which is unreserved seating behind the posts at one end of the ground. These are priced at £19 adults, £15 OAP’s (over 60) and Students, and £10 for Juniors under 16.
NB. Normal prices and match day =#FF0000prices are £24 for adults

| It's been £24 walk up price at the KC for around 2-3 seasons, that said it's in the top 2 for away supporters in terms of view/comfort etc and if you want to pay a few quid less to be out in the elements and have no choice but to stand all game then the KC is still decent value for money.
I pay that for the East stand (I think it was £23 last year) when I manage to get down for games and I spend another £45 in travel every time.
We've effectively discounted RL so much that large portions of RL followers just aren't prepared to pay to go to away games unless it is a local derby or the tickets are dirt cheap hence why 'fans' of the sport complain about ticket prices for CC, GF and WC games unless they're under £15
Most home fans can buy season tickets which work out at less than £15/game plus a load of other associated benefits thrown in but still whine and whinge because rugby is too expensive for the odd trip to follow their team away from home
Considering the amount of travel both Hull teams fans have to do both do very well indeed with their away numbers to fill the coffers of opposing teams but all fans can do is moan over a a couple of quid when visiting the KC

| when we went to hull earlier there was no mention on either clubs websites that the price would increase by £3 on the day,so quite a few of us got a surprise to find out that the price was £24 not £21 which was advertised on both clubs websites.
AFAIK, it clearly states on the giants website that prices increase by £3 on the day.
and as for numbers, both hull clubs support at huddersfield has dwindled to the extent that none of them have brought over 1000 for a league game for the last 2 years, FC managed 1100 for the play off game last year.
this isn't a critcism by the way,but to point out that both hull clubs' support like most others has fallen alarmingly over the last 2/3 years ( both clubs would regularly bring well over 2000), is this to do with fans not seeing the games as meaningful or due to prices?

| Most hilarious thread of the year.
An argument between the fans of the 2 clubs with the most expensive tickets in RL.
The KC is the best venue for watching RL in SL though.

It really isn't. I hate watching RL in footy grounds because your so far away from the action you might as we'll be watching it at home on Sky.
