| Current standings:
7 Catalan Dragons 23
8 Widnes Vikings 23
9 Hull KR 21
10 Salford Red Devils 19
11 Wakefield Wildcats 19
12 Hull FC 18
The Hull KR vs Catalans match in early September, being held in East Hull, could be a decisive match for the final qualifiers.
So too might be the match between Kevin Locke's Salford and wobbly Widnes, to be played at Salford on September 12th.

| Catalans need 2 wins from 3 to secure one of the spots, they've got London (H), Hull KR (A) and Castelford (H). You would expect 4 points from 6 there thus securing 7th spot.
It’s all on for 8th though spot though between Widnes, Hull KR, Salford and Wakefield. There are still far too possibles to guess an outcome, but after the next round of games you would expect to have a clearer picture;
Wakefield v Salford
Widnes v Wigan
Hull FC v Hull KR

| Our losses to Widnes and Salfor recently sadly have all but put us out of contention I feel even though we are just 2pts behind. We've got HFC, Cats and Wakey. No guarantees we'll win any of them the form we have been in.

| Salford's toughest game out of the remaining 3 is Wakey away. We very rarely pick anything up there.
All Salford can do is keep winining and hope other results go our way, like they did this weekend. Still think we are massive outsiders because of this.

| I reckon if Hull KR can win 2 out of the 3 then we probably make the eight. However, with the way we've been playing we may not win another game all season.

I agree, your points difference is superior and two wins from three should see you through. Whoever loses from the Wakefield v Salford game next week is out of the running too.

You've shown a lack of respect for Hull kingston Rovers by not adressing them by their full name.
I fancy Christopher James Chester's Hull Kingston Rovers to overtake that rabble from the south of France, cats.

Wakefield are out of the running, they were never in the running.
They’ve achieved their goal of hanging in (for a change )
It’s going to be a tight run thing with the other three, but whoever gets eighth will probably get well beaten in the first round anyhow.

| Disagree on both counts. Wakefield are more than capable of winning their remaining 3 games and nicking the final play off spot. Granted it's unlikely but it isn't beyond their reach.
Also, if Salford were to snatch 8th I would be confident of travelling to Castleford or Huddersfield and getting a result. We've beaten Huddersfield at their place already and should have beaten Cas but for a last second Jake Webster try.

I agree with you but what do you get out of finishing in the 8th spot beside Pride

| Does it matter? Neither of them will challenge the top 4/5 teams. (I'm not counting Huddersfield as they are awful in the play-offs)
