So Marc Green has decided to take the RFL to the High Court in the hope of getting some points back. What do Bradford think they can gain by doing this? They will probably still be relegated even if they get 6 points back.
I'm getting a little sick of hearing about all this now. Why can't Bradford just accept their punishment and move on. A lot of people are going to go from being sympathetic with Bradford to being annoyed. On Boots N All last night they seemed less sympathetic towards Bradford then they have been.
It has gone on far too long now and is contributing towards making the game look stupid and the RFL even more incompetent than what they are. Time for Bradford to accept their punishment, draw a line in the sand and move on.
Of course this is only my opinion.

The Bradford Bulls have today announced that they will take the RFL to the High Court in order to challenge the 6 point deduction. Mark Green says he's doing this not just for the Bulls but for the good of the wider game.

in my opinion, The Bulls are no longer chasing the six points back. What they're doing now is trying to manufacture a situation whereby its impossible for the RFL to relegate them. They are trying to manipulate the decision for the SL to reduce to 12 clubs into a decision for it to reduce to 13 clubs with another club relegated next year taking us to the 12 club SL the Chairmen want.
That in turn will push the 12 & three 8s format back another year, thereby curtailing the ambitions of the Championship clubs for that extra year.
Nothing else about this decision would make any sense to me. |

Mark Green strikes me as being nobody's fool, I don't see him doing this without a VERY good case. I suspect that a load of dirty washing's going to be dumped on the game as result of this.

When SL was created, Keighley threatened court action against Rfl for not giving them the promotion they won fair and square.
I'm not sure about my facts here, but the Rfl banned/suspended them from playing (they dragged some clause out of the rule book) for the duration of the case. As keighley simply could not afford not to play they had to withdraw their action.
This will be interesting and could get dirty.

Personally wish it wasn't going to court, but if Marc Green wants to spend his own money on it then that's his decision. I can't see how we will win if other two cases thrown out, but I'm not a lawyer and don't have access to any documents/evidence.
Disagree with OP, don't see how we could possibly manipulate it so we don't go down if we finish on less than everyone else. We're down no matter what IMO
I can't see us getting anything back and I'm certain we are down, what will happen is that the TRUTH may finally be heard and I don't think any of Khan, Whitcut, Moore will come out squeaky clean. I will wait to the court case is over before making any judgment on RFL.

even with the 6 points back, Bradford will still be in the relegation zone, and on recent form there isny much likeliness of them getting out of it. |

Hopefully for the good of game this action by the Bulls, will be dealt with in a quick manner by the courts, resulting in a defeat for the Bulls.
Any sympathy I had for the Bulls as a club and their supporters as gone down the plug hole.
On a related note, i do hope the RFL tighten their rules so than any club that goes into administration are automatically deducted a set amount of points whether that be 2, 4, 6 or 100

The RFL should simply wait until they are mathematically relegated even with the 6 points added and then reverse the penalty. Would save a lot of legal fees.

Yes!
Section 6 & 7 of the RFL Articles of Association mean they can request a member leave. If they refuse it can then be voted on.
I also though that somewhere in the Operational Rules there is a clause that states a member cannot sue the RFL.
Frankly this is ridiculous from Bradford now, I'm rapidly losing any sympathy I had for their predicament. |

I have sympathy with the current board as it isn't them that got Bradford into this mess. However previous boards actions resulted in administation and points were deducted. The current board knew that when they bought the club, if they weren't happy then they shouldn't have invested. As simple as that IMO.
The only winners of this will be the lawyers and their bank balances, it certainly isn't good for the sport and in the long run I don't think it will be good for Bradford.

They're not suing them, they are appealing against a decision, which they have now taken to the next level of court since the first one (the independant sports panel) who told em where to go.
They are not allowed, for example, to sue the rfl for a subsequent loss of income owing to relegation due to the points deduction ... For example. As you say, any court who heard that case will simply say well don't play in that league then, go play with barla ... |

This will be interesting and could get dirty.'" there is a rule within the rule book which states that a club which takes legal action against the RFL forfeits its rfl membership and as such its right to play in RFL competitions.
Saying that there will be some leeway in that as to who the case is actually being brought against, who is bringing it etc.
I dont think this case will see that happen, however if we saw a case from Bradford requesting and injunction against the deduction or their relegation, or suing the RFL for loss stemming from this then we may very well do. |

Will it be Greens money he's spending, or will it be a case of using Bradford's SL funding if they're successful their in appeal and in retaining their place or just putting the club into admistration if they're not to avoid paying the legal bills. |

Koukash shouldn't be taken serious on issues like this,the guy is just a divisive character now.
I dont think Hudgell has much time for the bulls, i think he just want to know the part the RFL have played in this sorry mess
