Did anyone else notice the game time time clock...did they really play ninety minutes, was the clock faulty, or should I go to specsavers.

The sky clock wasnt accurate as it didn't stop when the ref stopped the clock. Limitations of broadcasting french coverage from London I guess.

They should take the full caption feed rather than a clean feed from France

I don't know why they don't use the French audio feed and have close captioned English subtitles.

the clock is visible in the ground and once it gets to 80mins that game over?!

Up until about 3 years ago when the standardised official clock appeared at all SL grounds. It was only sky on games that they kept the exact time.

Also, if you listened properly he also said he couldn't see the clock from his position so was just going by his stopwatch.

only caught the last bit of the game as i was returning from the Giants game in car so thats how i missed his explanation of him not being able to see the clock, i did wonder if that was the problem! maybe he should move next time or find out from someone who knows instead of guessing from his stopwatch, not good enough in this day and age, but then again we are talking about the castleford ground

Clean feed is when sky take pictures with no captions and put there own on.

The Bein sports games I have seen have a captions complete with super league logos.

It might be visible to you but not from the commentary positions at the back of that stand. I commentated on the Cas v Wigan game last month and you simply cannot see the "real time" clock from the press box. So you genuinely don't have a clue how longs left. Neither by the way can you see any bombs or goal kicks from that stand with the roof being so low. Not the best.
